Quite a few of you are. This team lost a shite load of veteran talent from last year and are figuring out who they are against an insanely difficult first five series. Maybe they won’t figure it out in time and it’s a lost season, but some of you have completely unrealistic expectations. Try to enjoy the journey of the season. If there were no lows the highs wouldn’t feel nearly as good.

Some of you bitch and moan like LSU isn’t fully invested in making this program a consistent winner. Like I said, you’ve become spoiled.

I’ve also seen some of you geniuses comparing Jay Johnson to Ed Orgeron and the 2019 season. Johnson brought Arizona to Omaha twice in Five years and was one win away from a national championship. Then he wins it here in year TWO!!!
You are clowns!!!

LSU Should never have to rebuild. PERIOD

JAY has his own players now. Not looking to good. He rode PM's players the last 2 years. Travs is the last pm player starting in the lineup. JAY is soft. His teams reflect him. He will never win another title here.

In the end on paper yes we won last year but this year will be the worst lsu team since before Skip. Thats on Jay

You are making my point. Fans like you are exactly who Im talking about.
Never satisfied.

His “soft” style has gotten him to Omaha 3 times in 7 seasons with two different schools. One national championship and another runner up.

I don't necessarily agree with all of this but a couple of points are:
1) LSU should never have to rebuild. For some reason, some posters act like any complaints against the play of this team or the coach are ridiculous...like the complainers are expecting another Omaha win. There is an area between NCAA champs and being dismal. It is called being competitive So far against good teams, LSU isn't even competitive
2) Jay has brought in very highly ranked classes there is no denying that...on paper. But on the actual field on game day, they aren't performing as advertised. There is also no denying that.
3) And my own point here...I see so much of "oh, the schedule is to tough the first 4 or 5 series." Put on your big boy pants!!!!! If you want to be considered one of the very good programs, you have to play with the big boys. 2-5 in the SEC at this point doesn't give a lot of confidence...including some run rule games.

I’m sure Some of them act like that while coaching their kids AA U Trip team.

2006: 35-24 SEC 13-17
2007: 29-26 SEC 12-17
2010: 41-22 SEC. 14-16
2011: 36-20 SEC 13-17
2021: 38-25 SEC 13-17

All of those belong to Manieri except 2006.

I don’t know, maybe the fact that no coach has ever done it in his 2nd year.

Manieri doing it in his 3rd year was also quite an accomplishment.
He was also a really good coach that seemed to get burned out towards the end.

On paper? So winning a Natty on the field is only winning on paper to you. You're not very bright are you.

Is that on paper or their actual record? I will ban bet you that they will not finish with the worst record since skip.

There is a line between being down on the team/CJJ or discussing an aspect of the game where we struggle.

I'll say it, last night I made a comment on the board in the 7th/8th inning about 'watching & waving' at too many pitches. I get it, the zone was awful (especially low & outside), but as a hitter by your 3d/4th AB you adjust, you ADJUST. Some of the ABs we had late in the game - Frey, Pearson, and Braz - where tough to watch and just non-competitive or productive. Watching 1st pitch FBs right down main street, putting yourself in a hole does not help. We must be better than that to win on the road in the SEC.

I've said it before, and will say it again - this team's BEST baseball is still ahead of them. It will take a complete 9 inning performance to win this weekend, let's get it done!

Genuine question, what are you complaining about. You think it’s wrong for fans to complain when the team is losing games?

No one believes this. You are making this up to try to prove your point.
