No, I'm familiar. It still is surprising to me how people decide what they want to be true and then selectively believe things that confirm it without proof, while disbelieving things that contradict it even if backed by proof.
I know it's a familiar part of human psychology but watching people treat totally unsourced random twitter allegations as gospel truth because they'd like them to be true is still wild to watch. Especially when the account is something like MAGA PATRIOT EAGLE with an AI generated avatar of a guy in sunglasses and the tweet is just AI art and sentences with RANDOM capital LETTERS. At least in this case Spencer Pratt is a real person who might actually have some sources even if he wont say what they are.

The echo chamber of this was honestly hysterical.
You had a few right wing people talk about rumors of something about Talarico's campaign. There was no evidence to any of it, but they all were talking about it. Eventually more and more made up details start to arise. A liberal judge in 2023 checked into a psychiatric hospital because she had depression. Because that happened, it's somehow evidence that Talarico is doing the same thing?
We are just in an absurd place as a country.
