I don’t get it with Walker I really don’t.
He can absolutely put the ball wherever he wants it at times but all of a sudden he misses every pitch by 8 inches.
He started this inning with something like 45 pitches thrown. Surely he’s not fricking tired after 45 pitches?
It blows my mind

Walker is exactly who we thought he was. Good. Not great. And he was going to wear out at some point. It’s our bats that have let them off the hook. Some punk pitcher keeping us in check.

Yeah our bullpen doesn't instill much confidence at all right now

Walker probably would have done well against a shitty stony brook

Armchair? Paul does this shite all the time. It’s his MO. You’re acting like I’m saying something outrageous. Paul is more reactive than proactive

When Walker hits the wall, he is gassed. Seems like 65-75 pitches is his max this season.

Sounds like a southern miss home game.

Walker through well. I think we all knew after the first time through they started squaring him up. Wish he had gotten out of that one, but that single was on a pitch that is not usually hit.

Paul would rather wait an inning too long.
Disagree. Timing was good, and I’m
Hyper critical of Paul’s pitching management. Walker had his out pitch and the guy golfed it into shallow right. If anything, Paul pulls guys too soon.
He gave walker all the leash he could. It’s the right time to put in beck to throw some gas.

Sweet Beck can’t throw a fricking strike

Seems like he has two pitches at best. Hard way to make a living, if correct.
He wasn’t throwing his curveball at all tonight for some reason. It was fastball and change up.

Quite a history of that very thing

I still can’t believe they overturned that call on a great play when there was no definitive evidence.
That’s not the purpose of review; it’s to correct obvious mistakes.

He hit that wall at 42-45 pitches this game. Which is what I don’t understand. How is he getting tired at 45 pitches?

This has a Houston feeling several years ago when LSU got bounced from the regionals by them.

He’s been like that since he’s been back from surgery. Inconsistent. Sometimes great. Often decent. Usually has a point where he drops off. He battles but he’s not the same pitcher he was pre-injury.

First USM swing and miss since the 1st inning!
