I also don’t think their DBs match up well with our WRs at all. So if Nuss gets the ball out quick, we should be able to move the ball well (especially between the 20s) passing. Sloan will have some quick hitters to Anderson and Thomas (who I think is an absolute stud and can be a much bigger factor in the offense moving forward) and some quick 7-8 yard outs to Lacy and Taylor that should keep us ahead of the chains and limit their pass rush, opening up Lacy and Daniels for explosives further down the field.

If the weather holds up well enough I agree we should be able to move the ball at will through the air. Also, having Hilton back should open up the passing game even more. Which should also help to open up the run game more but we shall see. I do think having Hilton is going to drastically improve our explosiveness on offense. He just brings a unique ability to stretch the field or take a drag route 60 yds.

I agree on Hilton adding a missing piece on offense and really helping out once he gets back, but I don’t think he’s playing Saturday. I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see him until Ole Miss, honestly.

They get past us our pass pro (which has been absolutely elite through 2 games) I’ll agree but I’m not impressed w a pass rush getting home vs ODU and Kentucky.

Go back and watch either offensive line, they’re AWFUL.

This is a game that you feel like could be end up being a walk off field goal kinda loss. Media is hyping it up and LSU comin in not as fired up as the home team.

Really hope its just a beatdown like the good old days. Set the mentality straight for UCLA and South Alabama. Gonna need steady progress going into Ole Miss.

They have two QBs who are much better runners than passers. Just about any "chunk" passing plays come of of broken plays or play action. LSU's DL and LBs will have to be good because South Carolina wants to run the ball, and they will likely try to run a lot of "wildcat" with Robby Ashford after seeing Nicholls have success doing it. That's why I thin BK is talking about Whit Weeks not being in a "platoon" situation anymore. Perkins can't hold up inside against a team that is going to run it right at him.

Defensively they are solid. Particularly their DL. LSU has been really good at pass protection in two games, but they HAVE to find a way to generate a running game. Otherwise, South Carolina is going to do what USC and Nicholls did. Basically stack the box and play two deep safeties to force Nussmeier to make several intermediate throws. Outside of Lacy, I don't think opponents are really afraid of LSU's WRs in one-on-one matchups. IF LSU can get a running game going the defense is going to have to bring up a safety, which should open up the field for the deep shots LSU hasn't been getting.

We know Nussmeier isn't afraid to go deep, but right now he has done a good job of taking what the defense gives him. The defense isn't giving him the deep throws, so LSU has to find a way to open them up

The only reason we have struggled to run was because the teams we played loaded the box

So you’re hoping SC sees how teams shut us down and specifically doesn’t do what those teams did

BK is the coach for LSU not SC. They probably won’t be stupid

Les' offenses were never that bad, except against the dominant Alabama defenses.

Kentucky has the worst QB in the SEC. He’s somehow worse than Weigman. Funny enough those are probably the only two QBs that Sellers is better than.

I've never seen a team have their first two games be such polar opposites. They absolutely destroyed Kentucky in week 2. For those who don't know, in week one they almost got beat by old dominion.
I believe they beat ODU by 5 points.
I mean ODU easily could have won that game during week one.

What a wild concept...play a weaker opponent the first game to work out the kinks, before diving into stiff competition.

SC had 106 yards of offense at Half and score was 10-6. Kentucky turned the ball over 2 times in the second half. They had 44 yards passing for the game. KY OL is probably the worst in the SEC.

We should cover in this game. SC QB isn’t that good.

LSU’s 2 1st Round OTs will handle the sc edge guys. If LSU def will tackle the sc QB, Tigers easy. 34-13.

Bet the farm, house and college funds for kids on LSU minus the points. SC is not good and they have a CEO type Coach who appears over his head.
