Discretion is the better part of valor.

Letting him play could have knocked him out for good. We should be OK until Florida/Ole Miss so let him sit and heal.

This way of thinking is a flawed contradiction though. How can you say that his hype was so substantial while also saying that he never got to play up to it, and his performance will never live up to said hype… ?? When the very hype that you are mentioning, came from and was generated, from his on field performance…
Stingley is a victim of his own success.

I think NFL scouts will see that when Stingley is given a quality and competent Defensive Coordinator, and when he is healthy, he has the ability, talent, and skills to be elite and one of the best. Given the correct tools and at 100% he’s shown that he can impact and help a defense right away. This inexperienced and young kid came on the team in 2019 and as a true freshman led the SEC in interceptions and passes defended. NFL scouts and teams will/would love that immediate impact.

This (Youtube) is the link to the Sting Sr. part of Jordy's show, and I didn't quite hear it the way you put it.

Some of y’all are worse than high school girls with all this. Truth is, no one knows how serious the injury is yet. No one knows if Stingley really wants to play or not. Whatever he decides to do, just roll with it, who cares.

Nice to know a parent is in charge of our roster
I’m sure that’s true at all the schools with 5 star players though, right ?

The problem we have is not enough strong fathers. I applaud the man for putting his son first in his life!

He does in conjunction with other good players, but on our team he isn’t that important. Look at UCLA game and the State game.
It's extremely important. A traditional LSU defense is press man. Stingley is the best press man corner we've had since Peterson.

The UCLA game is a terrible barometer. He gave up one catch on a crosser and then missed a tackle. That can happen with corners. The state game doesn't show much either as we were almost never in a man to man situation.

Ricks was in man on that last MSU TD! Unfortunately nobody else was…

Sorry for dumping on Ricks though, I love me some Eli! One of my favorites.

My point about the two games is that as good as Stingley is he isn’t a difference maker in our current situation. We lost a big game with Stingley and won one without him. In our current state, he doesn’t make much of a difference. He is not an impact player.

Would he be more of an impact on a D with past great LSU Ds? Certainly, but without help he does not stand out.

I see your point, I just disagree with the assessment and think those are two very bad games to judge his impact.

I just flat out disagree with this. You can't tell me the best cornerback in college football isn't an impact player. Offenses have to scheme around both him and Ricks. They can't throw deep balls at all on the outside because of how good our corners are. They can't really run quick hitters either. They have to hope a slow developing crossing route doesn't get blown up by pressure in order to complete a pass on our outside corners.

Stingley will not play in an LSU game the rest of the year. Not a slam or a criticism but by the time all the doctors give their opinion and any rehab…..it will be time for the Senior Bowl.

Tired of Stingley and his dad. The same with Emery!! Screw them. They don't want to play. Tell Stingley good luck in your future endeavors. He is just a distraction. Play people that want to play. Could care less about Emery as well. Follow guidelines and policy, or get out. Always wanting some special consideration!!!!

I’d rather have him 100% for Bama, Florida and Ole Miss than making it worse.

This type of fan literally drives away recruits, players, and coaches.

Stingley wants to play. He has done literally nothing wrong. He's injured.

John Emery has grade issues. Therefore he is a distraction. Like what world do you live in man?

All you arse clowns said the same thing about J'Mar Chase. "He's a quitter." "NFL will take notice." "Won't be a 1st Round pick."

Yea the NFL is taking notice all right. #5 draft pick and now noticing that he's the next Stud NFL receiver. If he stays healthy he could easily be the best wide receiver of his generation.

As long as Stingley doesn't have some career threatening injury he'll easily be a top 5 top 10 pick.

And yes, I get it. He will be a first round pick and make millions. But why did he play at all this year if the only thing they want to do is prevent injury. M

If healthy play or leave the team.

The question isn’t if he’s healthy moron.

The question is how risky it is to play further in this injury.

People who don’t give a frick about LSU players aren’t LSU fans.
