Time to move on from Nuss it’s over very disappointing 2 years, not all his fault but underperforming. Hopefully, he got a decent education.

He's was definitely injured. Probably affected his decision making too.
Last year all we complained about was that he took a few chances and didn't run enough. We supported him. He didn't just magically turn into a completely different quarterback.
None of his throws look the same. Velocity, accuracy. He's never been a scrambler. And his job is also much harder when you get a pass rush from a team dropping 8, and you can't run the ball.
He's never had great pocket awareness, but it wasn't as noticeable last year because he got a lot better protection and made more plays.

"There’s no question. He’s injured. To what extent, only a few really know. But he’s not making the throws he made a year ago, and his accuracy has varied. He’s always going to take some chances, it’s who he is, but you can tell something is not right physically with him. No one ever questioned his arm strength, but the ball is just flat on him, and he’s short or inaccurate with some throws. No question, his injury has affected his play."

Nuss's main injury is between the ears, no read progression, no pocket awareness, clock management and able to read a defense consistently.

Nuss threw for over 4000 yards last season and in 2025 he suddenly lost all of the skills you mentioned. He was running for his life most of the time because the OL was so bad and the transfer receivers were overrated.

Because he was not prepared, out of shape and put no effort into being a quality college QB. Teams had tape on him so once his tendencies were figured out, he was toast.

The play at the QB position killed us all year.
The QB got hurt early on due to the poorly coached dysfunctional OL and he never fully ecovered.

That is a stupid comparison. Thete is a difference between criticism and the name calling and hate that is spewed on here. You good with that kind of talk about your family?

if Nuss was hurt, why did he and BK allow him to play?

Who the hell knows? Why did BK refuse to talk to recruits on the phone? Why did he fake anger and bang his fits? What made him think we had a running game? I’m guessing he thought a hurt Nuss was better than a healthy MVB.

Was Nuss' last play as a Tiger the America's Funniest Video sack?

I saw that Kiffin thinks the bashing of Nuss is totally wrong and he feels Nuss gave all he had for the Tigers.

Nuss and the wide receivers weren't good enough. Too many drops, fumbles, interceptions at key moments. I dont hate any of them but if we want to get back into contention we need better play out of all the offensive positions.

The whole problem this year started with playcalling and ended with bad oline

Then why start these threads? He’s had plenty of sunshine pumping, by ignorant fans, for the past 2 years.

A bad QB will make the play-calling look bad and the OL look bad. A good QB makes everyone around him better. I don’t know how anyone could watch high/wide angle film of Nussmeier and not see the weakness in his game.

grateful for the effort for, and commitment to LSU

I kinda agree with you on some points, but Nuss and his commitment to LSU can definitely be questioned. He sat out his first and last bowl game when he could have surely played. That’s not a very committed quarterback.

He is also one of the worst on field leaders lsu has had in years. No toughness or consistency and it carried over to a lot of others.

I’m glad this era is over
