We don’t need Wade’s recruiting anymore. We have NIL.

Then why be so upset over a guy that was never going to get LSU past the sweet 16

And you know that how? Our spineless administrators kept suspending him for the tournament.

I will likely live until I’m 100 thanks to my superior genetics.

Good for you. Certainly won’t be due to your superior intellect.

I don't hope something happens, this current issue we have with the men's basketball team can be precisely blamed on the decision of one man.

We agree, just not on who that man is.

If you look at the next recruiting class, not much promise either. It wouldn't be a really far-fetched idea that the program is now back in the shape it was prior to WW, or regrettably worse.

All true.

So before you start hurling that around, take a real look at the state of the program and what changed versus other schools and their decisions to keep their coaches. LSU was the only one who chose to dismiss their coach and it looks guilty.

Wade made a couple of key mistakes that separate him from the others. Paying that woman from his personal account after he knew he was under a microscope was what I really think cost him his job. and cost LSU in the long run. I'll withhold judgement on MM until we get into SEC play next year (unless the OOC is this bad too). He had better get a few more guys or do some coaching voodoo with what we have coming in and staying if he wants any fan support through the year next year.

I just really hope WW does not end up in the SEC.

The delusion of LSU fans is always good comic relief.

How’s that working out? Need that war chest to beat out the likes of Tulane, Ole Miss, ULL, and Wake Forest

Again, this team was conservatively predicted to be on the bubble and finish 8th in the SEC. McMahon has them in dead last with zero improvements, in fact going in the opposite direction. The “muh no talent” excuse is a farce invented by excuse makers here on the Rant and the talent will be dropping off next year.

Someone posted a couple of them yesterday. With the great Matt McMahon being such a big improvement over the previous coach we were going to compete for the SEC this year with all the talent he brought in.

Will Wade will get them to the Tournament then go 1 and home, and then put their arse on probation , he's very overrated.

Probation is done. The NCAA has lost control of the shop. It’s over. We are paying the players directly. Call it whatever you want, but that’s what is happening. Will Wade will thrive in the NIL era.

Nope

Wade’s first year we were picked to finish 14th in the SEC

McMahon’s first year we were picked 8th

He was being extorted, which is a crime. I don't care to look into if that woman was charged, but let's be honest, everyone in college bball was doing it. Sure, he could have covered his tracks, but with NIL going on all of this pay-for-play is legal anyway.

I do because it shows how wrong LSU was and because of it they hopefully learn a valuable lesson in this particular situation.
