It was also one of the selling points for O to get the job.

People on here crucified Miles for this very thing, why does Orgeron get a pass?

He had one last year. A situation that wound up giving me pause for this season and CEO. This team has played above my expectations but strong D and suspect O is something I thought we ran CLM out for. Same shite, different day.
Having said that I’m rootin’ for O. He’s grown on me and I hope he can improve things on offense.

You really think any other OC would have made a difference against Alabama?

Maybe not the extent we could have beaten them but I’d think a better OC could have at least put up a fight on the offensive side of the ball. We’ve seen glimpses of our pass protection issues since the spring. It isn’t some crazy new revelation that we never could have tried to figure out how to scheme around.

I was not for the O hire one bit, but I believed him when he said he would hire the best coordinators possible. I ask anyone, am I wrong, did he or did he not say that? Aranda, eventhough he can't seem to scheme against Mullen, i still feel he is a great coordinator. So O hires Canada and begins to meddle in the offense, sound familiar and then tells us E is the best for the job. This is where i fault O. This hire has proven to be a flop and I'm not just talking about 0 points against Bama, I'm talking about the totality of the season. Sorry coach Steve if you really want to do what's best for LSU , if you really love your Alma Mater. Step down and save your buddy O's job.

Well considering hat he was hired based on the promise to hire the best coordinators and let them coach AND that he has failed on BOTH hires.... that’s a pretty big indictment of his ability to lead a championship level program

You're not getting it. It's not that people think another OC would have beat Bama, but another OC would have definitely had a better showing than Ensminger did.

You can use the excuse at how great they are this year and we are in a down year. I guess that's the case for 2016 too? Funny how the guy in the middle of those years (Canada) was able to put up more points than both of Ensmingers efforts combined in just one game with equal or lesser talent than Ensminger had in 2016. Oh and he did it in Tuscaloosa. Ensminger has no points in two home games at night.

We are at our lowest rank in almost every offensive category this year, and that's going back to 2004.

That's a pretty big one TBH.

I'd give him a chance to get it right, but I'm concerned.

O has done a great job this year. The only thing he has done that should warrant pause and concern is not hiring a legit OC. If that doesn't get fixed soon, then decisions need to be made. Until then, be appreciative and don't trash his existence, because everything else he is doing is working.

6 Td passes all year.

6.

All year.

And this is his handpicked man.

Tell me again how this is great.

A vast majority on this board are bypassing a HUGE fundamental. Bama beat LSU at THE POINT OF CONTACT at EVERY POSITION!!!! All of the majical fixes expressed here are useless until BOTH lines of scrimmage gets physically stronger, in better shape, more athletic as a result of this, and develop an angry attitude. Until this happens any scheme or the best coaching on Earth will be INEFFECTIVE. Is this hard to understand????? It looks like it may be. Tell Moffitt to get these items done or show him the door. Moffitt may be good enough to beat up on 70 percent of the SEC but in my opinion he has failed to address what's needed for that other 30 percent. This has been the case for several seasons.

The offense has been problem number 1 for almost 10 years. Every year we hear about they have it figured out because “qb so and so is gonna win the heisman because manning passing academy blah blah” or “ coach so and so went through saints fantasy camp” or “ we just hired our ol coach or te coach as our new offensive coordinator “ We the fans are tired of putting up with parking changes, ticket prices, crappy concessions, etc. .....Ten years of this and our offense is ranked 104th in the country. Someone please explain to me why nobody wants to be the celebrated hero who brings a modern offensive juggernaut coach here to fix the problem.

O will be moderately successful until other west programs get it together ( aTm and arky and auburn) and Mullen kicks lsu arse every year. Then O will get exposed.

So Os handpicked coordinator is the biggest issue. The defense is successfully led by a guy who was already on staff and has nothing to do with O- but O is doing great. Alrighty.

Love how you pretend to heap praise and with the very next sentence you criticize condescendingly). You are a GASLIGHTER (and not very good at it). Feel sorry for your wife/husband.

This is the reason Les got fired, O should be held to the same standard
