If you’re gonna change the culture you have to recruit a different type of athlete to LSU

Be more selective and get players from other places, maybe such as how ND did it

Saban deals with new staff each and every year. No slow downs there.
Saban only hires coaches that can effectively coach their position.

Orgeron hired too many "Used Car Salesmen" that coach at the Bunkie Middle School level.

The main one is gone, but one still remains.

Wrong. A lot of the staff was part of the greatest team ever. Did they need a culture change then? Culture comes from your head coach. You want guys coaching under him that are willing to help implement that. But the coaches we had were more than willing to implement that judging by the fight this team had down the stretch this season and by 2019. O was the cancer. You don’t have to clean house to fix the culture.

Woke up to the news of Raymond leaving and at first I was like shite but now I also agree with this post. It’s time to move on and trust Kelly. LFG

I disagree that it needed a massive overhaul. O was the issue. Now that we are losing players and coaches this is the new line. It’s simply not true. LSUs football culture is not an issue.

I've been following LSU sports since '62. There is no fantasy world, only the shite the masses want you to believe and you've followed right along. Are changes necessary? Sure. Is it the entire culture as you continue to rant? No. New coach, putting together a new staff. Players continue to bolt. Coaches bolt. Is that because of the new coach? So why don't you define the culture of LSU football as you see it.

I define culture as the attitude of everyone and the organization in place to either support or work against that attitude. If you hire a new HC you must allow him to (re)build that organization in his vision and build an attitude worthy of what represents LSU football. If not, then how can you evaluate CBK's performance if there are things and people that are untouchable.

you mean the word everyone likes to use these days...alignment!!

LSU needed one big swinging d!ck to run things and to be in charge. that is what saban did when he was here. and it seems as though Kelly is trying to reestablish that continuity. finger crossed.....

Yes, Kelly left ND to come to a place like LSU to get the talent necessary to win titles...only to recruit ND talent that won't cut it

Brilliant

Dude. Saban does have some elite coaches but your primary job is to recruit. Saban wins by recruiting, not coaching.

Nobody on Saban's staff is doing anything groundbreaking. They're just coaching up and coordinating the best talent in CFB.

Yeah, it needed to happen and I'm fine with what's happening with the coaching changes. I felt they needed to clean house once it was announced that O was going to be leaving.

What does the L in LSU stand for? Representing the state accurately.

I trust Scott Woodward and Brian Kelly to build the program back up.

We all knew there would be some major changes, it was time. BK is in charge now, gotta let him do his thing… He knows what he’s doing.

except for 2 years when we had one of the best Qbs ever and the ultimate team player/competitor we've had a culture problem since 2012

You said you were ready for it, but you clearly aren’t. You just want it to be manipulated a little bit. You thought we could win long term without going through the pain of majorly surgery.

I disagree. I do not think you need to burn it down, but no one is owed a job. Moffit and Raymond are both rich men because of their time at LSU. They were paid for a service and now its time for them to move on. Thanks for the efforts, good luck in the future, we moving in a different direction.
