Some members of Congress expressing concern over the growing magnitude of Coaching Salaries and suggesting placing a cap ! What hypocrisy- How about placing some limits and caps on spending taxpayers dollars !

Stop listening to anything politicians say. I’ve ignored national news the last few months and my life has been 100x better for it. They only get their power from however many people listen and obey. Completely ignore and the problems solved.

What’s funny is everyone laughed at A&M when they paid Jimbo and his massive contract and look at what USC and LSU paid Lincoln and Kelly.

Another word we could use for their "concern" is envy.

Exactly. As if LSU (we the tax payers) care about what Congress thinks. Give me a break.

Once Mel Tucker received $95M? It was clear things were a changing.

At least Fisher, Riley, and Kelly have been winning a lot of games. I don't understand how Michigan State panicked so easily. He wasn't getting poached the first time he finished with a winning record

That’s just jealousy pure and simple.

Treatment worse the disease with congressional oversight but it is crazy to devote that much money to one person. They're seldom actually worth it (Nick Saban).

A business that brings in over $90M in revenue and over $50M in profits annually pays its CEO $9M. The horror!

This right fricking here. Made this same shift years ago and it was a real turning point in my life for the better.

When Congress has term limits, I'll humor their "concerns" if they can actually make a coherent case for anything. Until then, I don't care what's bothering them.

Exactly what I say. We generated $95 million in revenue in 2019-20 with a profit of $53.7 million. Natty’s make money, who knew? The people clutching their pearls about us spending $95MM over 10 years aren’t the ones making money moves in their real lives. Scared money don’t make money. Say we win 3 titles over the next 10 or 12 years and are in the playoffs even just every other year or 4 out of 10 years, that will generate a metric frick ton of money for LSU and Baton Rouge. Every time a program is in the national spotlight all year and wins a championship, you see a spike in registration. This is money well spent.
