NC State has one of the most underachieving athletic programs in the country. They have a great fanbase that supports them but they have little to show for it. They remind me of South Carolina before Carolina had consistent men's baseball women's basketball programs.

My next door neighbor is a NC State graduate and big supporter of Tommy White. Believes he would have gone down as the best player in the programs history had he stayed. He was one of the first to tip the cap to LSU last night. There are butt hurt fans at every school for every sport and every topic.

I ran into a couple of NC State students working on a research project this summer. I started to bring up Tommy, but I figured (1) they don't follow baseball and have no idea who he is or (2) they do follow baseball and it would serve no purpose for me to mention him and rub salt in their portal wound.
