4. Chaisson was worth the wait. The guy was a heat seeking missile all night and will give teams fits all year.
After that hit on the RB, I told the wife we'd be lucky if KC wasn't charged with attempted murder

He is the truth. His added bulk from offseason rehab has only made him more monstrous and terrifying. I would not want to try and scheme offensive protections around him.

The screen passes were dramatically better as well

The Last decade we couldn't execute screens well

Ginger beer and ginger ale are very underrated mixers.

Burrow is a special kind of talent. The sand and the grit. A true field general with the right stuff between the ears to make the split second decisions and keep the chains moving. Seems to have gelled really well with his receivers.

Defense looks nasty. Hard hitting, hungry and focused. Not too many stupid mistakes.

O Line is still a bit unproven against superior opponents but did their job.

Coaching seems MUCH improved.

Gonna be a fun year

I learned that Badara Traore and Austin Deculus looked much improved. Traore was solid all night and Deculus absolutely blew a few guys up.

3. Marshall and Chase could be the best receiving duo in the sec. They are both really fricking good

They will both be great, but Jefferson actually had more yards than both of them combined and the most catches tonight. You might as well say the best trio in the league because Jefferson is awesome and ain't slowing down. LSU hasn't had this many really good receiving threats in a long time.

Agree with all of this. I was pleasantly surprised. Gonna be fun watching this.

Going for it on 4th early on was nice. I really hope we do that a lot more this season. Rushing wasn't too great but it is game 1. Being able to pass will really help take pressure off our run game who always carry the load for the team.

We saw a lot of different players get game experience
We saw wide open offensive play calling
We saw a team hitting on all eight cylinders right out of the gate instead of three games in to the season

Very true statement.

This may be the fastest back 7 I can remember. They FLY around

Jacoby Stevens
Damone Clark
Patrick Queen
All looked outstanding

All the down linemen on both sides of the ball looked far more in shape, less fat, stronger and aggressive, and they played their assignments.

Stingley reminds me of Mathieu. He’s a game changer just returning kicks.

We haven’t had an offense capable of consistently executing screen passes since Jimbo was our OC.

1) The entire Offense and Defense looked like a damn cheat code.
