This x100000. Spent more time on his stupid dog than the replay.

Worry less about the catch and more about the choke hold on the end they didn't care about

Burns actions on two consecutive plays swung the game. No holding calls for or against us were called. This play was good enough to be called a catch. The refs did not affect the outcome of the game.

That ball clearly hit the ground. 100% was not a catch.

I thought it was a catch. Maybe it hit the ground but replay didn't prove it. I am also pro letting insane plays stand.

Herbie was too busy cleaning the jizz off his face to worry about slowing down the replay enough but it did indeed appear that the ball hit the ground.

Herbie did say the effort was so good that even if it wasn't a catch they should give it to him anyways.

Definitely not. Clearly hit turf. The announcers even said they hoped it stood just to put on highlight reels. Regardless of the rules or being unfair to LSU.

Pretty crazy since the entire argument was that his forearm was under it. Not his hand.

IDK but there was a play where our pass rusher literally got tackled that was a no call.

Were there any unfair calls that went against USC, or were they all against us?

probably not a catch but wasn't 100% clear from replays

Correct, It wasn't a catch, but there was not enough to overturn the call.
He 100% lost control while falling and you can see the ball with out seeing any hand under it just as he hit the ground.

"The ball can hit the ground if the WR had controlled it prior and the ground does not cause him to lose control"

Incorrect, he clearly lost control while twisting during his fall.

There has to be indisputable evidence to overturn it. There wasn't.

correct

But I’m not sure Gilbert ever hit the WR’s helmet, and it looks like a pretty good tackle considering the circumstances.
your P&G glasses are pretty thick.

That was clear targeting. Gilbert led with the crown and the crown made contact with the side of the receiver's helmet.

Clear as clear can be.

If the teams were reversed, you'd be SCREAMING that it was targeting.

That was and still is my complaint about the officiating on that play. The Olineman had our rusher around the neck and pulling on the back of his jersey. Definitely offensive holding.

They couldn’t stop Savion Jones without holding. Or perky running in his way.?? just kidding I don’t know if that was Savion but man it felt like everytime I tried to focus on Perk to see if he was going to make a big play he would either get swallowed up by the OL immediately or he would run right into an OL that the DT was trying to swim inside on and get in the way effectively taking out the other rusher.

His arm was underneath the ball, so to me it was a catch. The ref agreed. Even if it wasn't a catch it was an amazing football play.

I don't think people are complaining much about the call bc it looked so awesome. I don't blame the refs for that loss Saturday. Square on the face of coaches and players alike. I thought the ball prob rolled around on the ground some but he defied gravity for just a second and somehow no one hit his hand while the 2 defenders were trying to tackle him. Props for that catch whether it was or wasn't.

I thought it was fairly obvious the ball was rolling around on the ground.

It was. He did not control the catch through the ground because the ball was clearly moving around after it hit the ground. Great attempt at a catch but it was not a true catch.

Good effort play and it held up to the review, not saying it didn't touch the ground but that's just how football is sometimes.

I was at the game surrounded by USC fans and even they were surprised they called it catch. Ball hit the ground.
