So Texas makes the most sense for the 4th spot now right?

It’s pretty easy actually.

Undefeated conf champion
Undefeated conf champion
Undefeated conf champion

If the CFP isn't Michigan, Washington, FSU, and Texas, will nation will full blown fricking revolt, and for good reason.

The four best teams should be in the playoff. I don’t know how anyone m watched those games today and think that FSU should be in ahead of Bama (or even Georgia).

If that's the case, then regular season games mean nothing.

Says who? There have been many a year that some people thought USC, or Bama, or whoever, was the best team in the country, but they didn't make the championship (functionally a two team playoff). The four most deserving teams should be in the playoffs. Bama ain't one of them.

four best teams

Wrong it should be the four most deserving. Otherwise why even play? Should upsets matter or do you disregard those losses? Strength of schedule? So can you lose 2 and get in if they're close losses to top 5 teams? Judgement calls introduce bias. They should only do that when teams have the same record.

They’ll screw FSU and Bama will get in! They can’t screw Texas because if the head to head win. They will screw FSU and justify it by using Travis’ injury. Hope like heck I’m wrong!

Maybe I should go out a big bet down on that. Then there’s no way it would happen…

I bet Alabama or Georgia beats any of the four teams in the playoff this year. Alabama beat the number one team in the nation (a team that hasn't lost in almost 3 years)and is a totally different team that played Texas in September. Honestly the best team in the nation wont even get to play in the playoff. Doesn't break my heart at all though. suck it gumps

I'm not sure, but I sure as hell am not going to advocate to get Bama into the playoff.

Did you watch Bama almost get their arse handed to them by UCF and Auburn? They literally had to have a last minute Hail Mary on 4th down to beat a terrible Auburn team a week ago.

And they lost at home to Texas.

H2H matters. Records matter.

The Committee will look heartless if they deny an undefeated P5 Champion because their star QB got injured.

I disagree. I think it'll be....

1. Michigan
2. Washington
3. Texas
4. Alabama

You could flip 1 and 2. FSU w/ QB1 would be in but not QB3 OR QB2. Be honest, how hard was it watching that game? The offense from Louisville was just slightly worse than FSU. It's not much better with QB2. Nobody honestly thinks THIS version of FSU is 1 of the top 4 teams do they? Who could they beat? Plus you have to consider viewership. Hell, as I said, it was hard watching this game.

it would be absolutely f'ed up to leave out fsu or texas. period.

that would be way more controversial and wrong.

fsu didn't lose even with their 3rd string. texas beat the hell out of bama.
