LSU has had some really fricking atrocious starts in the past 7 years. 2014, 2016, 2017, kinda 2018

while none of these seasons were amazing, you must be young as frick to think they were “atrocious”

Friendly reminder that LSU's opponents are 2-1 against LSU and 0-7 against everyone else.

Nope, but Vegas has odds we figure something out.

My best guess - which is all anyone has at this point, is we do, too.

People seem to not grasp this. This is really, really bad. Uncharted waters in the post Saban era.

so we should panic and say the sky is falling or try to remain optimistic and not freak out after 3 games?

Nothing wrong with being optimistic. You can be however you want to be. But saying it’s like 2008 or that it’s not that bad is just wrong.

We should just develope the old Arkansas or Vanderbilt mentality. Instead of proclaiming our dominance, we'll be saying Good game guys, we just came up short.

. It's like people thought LSU was just going to run the table this season. Alabama/Clemson are the exception to the rule.

My question is we all know everything you just posted is a possibility and everything you said is true

why keep posting it? What do you think you're going to change people's opinions?

And not just that, but they're in a sheer state of panic and are furious that it's not happening. They're wanting to fire Coach O and fire Bo Pelini mid season in a year in which LSU has already lost out on tens of millions of dollars. A lot are bailing out off the bandwagon like rats on a sinking ship. But here's the thing, the ship is not sinking. It's a fricked up year following up a once in a lifetime season. Not saying winning a National Title is once in a lifetime, but a season like last year absolutely is.

Yeah, it sucks losing to Mississippi State and Missouri. It sucks that our defense sucks this year and needs major work. But at the end of the day, do we REALLY think this is going to last forever? Or is it just an odd year at an odd time and it will more than likely get fixed sooner or later?

Or do we just dive head first into being overly emotional, overly anxious, irrational, and miserable? No thanks. Maybe if last year never happened, I would flirt with being that way.

He got the Powerball contract and gets paid whether he is employed by LSU next year or not. There is NO accountability for college and professional coaches to perform every year once they get the big $$ contract.

It's an odd year and an odd time for everyone though. Also, why are we always having to fix major issues, instead of fine tuning things. Consistency ramping up to occasional elite status is what most hope for, rather than feast and famine.
