We lost our two best coaches. We lost a million nfl caliber players. Now we lost our qb. Y’all don’t understand. We don’t have a defense to bail us out anymore.

This all on top of getting a losing record against our easiest opponents. It’s bad bruh

LSU has had some really fricking atrocious starts in the past 7 years. 2014, 2016, 2017, kinda 2018

2004 season opener after national championship in 03 was abysmal. Almost lost to Oregon State.

Any recruit for defense should be licking their chops right now because if they're worth a shite they could start right away.

There’s that train of thought and the other is - Do I really want to go play for Bo Pelini in that shitty defense?

I'm not sure what you're arguing. I'm not being mr optimistic here. I'm not predicting 6-4 or 5-5. I'm simply saying they can get better from where they are right now. Which is hardly a delusional position.

I don't know when Myles will be back and you don't either so I'm not sure what the point is in arguing about it. The athletic piece made it clear it's not a season ender, at least not yet. If he's out for the year then yeah they probably lose every game. But even in that scenario, it's totally reasonable to think other components of the roster get better.

Well it can’t get worse so I agree with you on that.

At this point we all need to hope we see progress with our freshmen qbs and hope a buyout plan is being worked on with Pelini. That’s all we have this season

This is very similar to 2008, without the pick 6’s.

Coming off national title? Yes

Shitty defense? Yes

Freshman qbs? Yes

Ivy League transfers? Yes

In 2008 we started out good then blew it towards the end

Lee was a rs freshman. We beat a ranked opponent followed by losing to only top ten opponents until the last two games. We have lost to complete trash so far this year with a Junior QB, who is now probably gone for the season. Give me 2008 please.

I hope if I go to war that you're on the other side. Don't want any such pussies on my side.

If we go 1-9, Ed needs to be looking for a job. COVID or not, there are zero excuses for a program of our caliber falling to those levels. After all, the crappy D coordinator hire and lack of depth in the QB room falls squarely on O...

Well we are about the start a freshman at QB going into the meat of our schedule, so there is still time for that too.

Man, you're righteous making this call @ (1-2), losing to 2 of the worst teams in the conference. Wise beyond your years!

With or without Brennan we are looking squarely in the eye of a losing season. 1-9 was possible before he got hurt.

On the flip side, Pelini knows he has to show improvement if he wants to be employed in 2021, so maybe they get it figured out.

LOL.

Pelini wins either way.

He gets bought out, he could retire on that (I know I could).

LSU is in a lose-lose situation with him. It will get worse before it gets better.
