That's not how the law works. If he violated the NCAA rule before the Supreme Court ruling went into effect, it's still a violation for which he can be suspended. The Supremes didn't make it retroactive, any more than Roe v Wade.

Really, sacrificed Wade. Son of a bitch was dirty. And put us under probation. Retarded post.

Show me a man.

What did the NCAA find that Wade did at LSU that was illegal?
What probation?

Sob was a winner.
How often has LSU had a winning Basketball season, in the last ten years, and who was the HC?
In your estimation, how many years will it take to repeat his record.

In comparison to past LSU Coaches?SEC Champion his second year.
Only Mulkey, in my memory has exceeded his performance.

Are you under the impression that he will be there longer than 2 or 3 years?

The question you need to answer is, whose fault was that? LSU's or Wade's?

So LSU sacrificed Will Wade, and still being targeted by NCAA

I love how naive some of you are in your fairy tale land. Recruiting is a dirty business

Would you prefer the accusation to be put in different terms?

It wasn’t just what he did. It was how dumb he was to be caught. If you want to argue everyone does it, whatever.

But you don’t say what he did on the wiretap through ANY electronic means. Period.

The weird thing is - if he hadn't mentioned on the wiretap 'now what kind of deals or packages can we offer for this kid ?' - he is still the coach.

We got punished twice for WW. We were targeted by officials his last year because we refused to fire him. Then the NCAA drug out the penalties for 2 years to hamstring the recruiting by MM because we had the cloud over our program.

We were never going to get hard, because so many other schools did the same thing, but it was still enough to scare recruits off.

NCAA knows its days of having a role in CFB are numbered and they aren’t happy about it. They’re going to try and make things as unpleasant as possible for as many teams they can.

Love the guy but he used his wife's checkbook.

He didn't.
Which Kid are you talking about?

It was reported that the "Substantial offer" was for a young man who Wade wanted as an assistant.
Who knows? The NCAA didn't find anything.

It is Wade's job to set up several layers of separation between him and the bag man. It is the University's job to know nothing about what is going on. This gives both of them plausible deniability. Jesus you ppl are stupid still parroting this bullshite. Wade fricked up and screwed LSU in the process but you ppl continue to blame the school you claim to be a fan of.

LSU leadership has to grow a pair and learn to fight back, it appears they just roll over. Put the law school department to work defending student athletes and the program.

Trent Johnson inherited a roster full of good players. Players who would have won the previous year, coached by Brady, if not for injuries to key players.
When those players left, Johnson sucked.
Wade had few talented, inherited, players. He built the team and kept it competitive. He had another good recruited class when the axe fell.
