I agree completely with Chicken. Horrible picture on Tigervision. I would not have bought the game if I would have known the product. The replay on CST had great quality. I wont buy tigervision again unless the black out an SEC game.

It was completely tigervision...just watch any college news show and watch any lsu highlights.
yep.
Its embarrassing that one of the premier college football programs in the country, with one of the most profitable athletic departments, subjects its fans to mid 1980's quality television broadcasts

Pretty sure the feed was from a few first generation camera phones.

it was hurting my eyes to watch the game and ended up watching very little of it.
It was like enduring an eye test.

[quote]The point of this thread is not to rehash the problem, but figure out the cost associated with greatly improving it.
Reinvest money on new equipment and better announcers, rather than pocket the profits. Random complaints on a message board will not spur them to take action. Maybe start an online petition to get their attention. Do you know anyone that could get this done?

I cannot answer this. I watched NCIS.

I have DT Game day. It seems that the second half was better than the first half. No HD and not anything as good as all the other games I watched.

They broadcast with standard definition and are probably old to boot. They only get one game a year and probably isn't cost beneficial to upgrade the system for that one game.

I know I won't get it again unless they improve the quality. I couldn't even read the numbers on the players from the "up top" shot.
I don't understand why they don't just use the Cox feed for the video since Cox is already there videoing the game for its replays later in the week.
Chicken, why don't you sponsor TigerVision with the provision they do a HD telecast?

I have Directv and the quality wasn't as good as last year but I think that is all on whoever does the production. It seems there is always a broadcast trailer at Tiger Stadium under the northwest side. When LSU, and other schools, is not on network TV how do the major networks get the feed for hightlights, etc. Is it the same equipment used for Tigervision? I don,t know. I called Directv to order the game. They said it was 39.95 and a 5 dollar fee. The whole screen seemed to have a "green" hue to it. A bit pricey but still cheaper than a ticket! I suppose it costs different where you are!

I agree, maybe 2-3 at the most. As long as LSU is top 5 program the games will only be cream puffs and die hard fans will hold their nose an order the games.

It was probably the crappiest thing I've watched on the ESPN app on Xbox live. Guess I know the reason now. And not to pile on too much more on the announcers, but like I said in the game thread, it was like they were calling the game from Alex Box because they couldn't get a name or yardage right. It was like they were watching on Tiger Vision as well.

I got the game on Cox PPV and the quality was pretty terrible. Watchable, but terrible.

I'm glad they finally put the game up on XBL cuz I know curiosity would have got the better of me and I would have forked out $25 or whatever for it.

The $5 fee is for calling to order. Order on-line. I live in Tn and it was $25 on-line cost.

If not for the North Texas being on ESPN, that would have been three games.
I was hoping someone here would know what it would cost to upgrade...as it stands now, LSU will make much less (or lose much more) on TigerVision games if people refuse to pay for an inferior product.

It was so bad I thought it was a 1984 replay on ESPN Classic then I saw the Vandels come on the field, then I saw Mett.
