So let me get this straight

2007: 12-2 (won NC)
2006: 11-2
2005: 11-2
2004: 9-3
2003: 13-1 (won NC)
2002: 8-5
2001: 10-3
So let me get this straight, two losses and suddenly people are outraged because ____________? For all the years people on this board mocked Bama fans, it seems LSU fans have become as delusional as those very same fans.
How is it that LSU fans will always boast how strong and talented the SEC is and yet when they lose to two of the strongest teams in the SEC it is unacceptable. Yes, I understand how much talent LSU has, but come on, get a grip and realize that you cant have it both ways.

It's not the two losses that are concerning. It is that we have looked bad in pretty much every game this season.

i dont think its the losses that bother the fans... we expect to lose a few with an unproven quarterback, but we do not expect to allow 50 points..

You need to be able to distinguish between people who have put on their parachutes and bailed out of the bandwagon, and people who, while expecting a 2,3 or even 4 loss season, didn't expect it to happen because the defense sucks and aren't reluctant to say so.

We gave up 50+ in those two games.
We also-
-Needed a late 4th quarter drive to beat a flat out bad Auburn.
-Were down at half-time to an average South Carolina with a new qb and a swiss cheese oline.
-Let a god awful Miss St. make a game out of it.
-Even a terrible North Texas whose coach is already on the hot seat moved the ball effectively between the 20's.
We have not looked good in a single game all year.

It's not losing in the SEC that gets me upset. I can accept a loss to 2 top 10 teams. But it's hard to swallow the arse whipping we got from 2 top 10 teams.
On paper we match up good with both UF and UGA, but on the field we looked miles apart. Not so much with UGA, but def. with UF.

The defense has not allowed 50 points this season.
We have lost two games. UF blew us out. They are the best team in the SEC. UGA did not blow us out. We were 5 yards from making this game a single score affair with over 5 minutes left.
We have some injuries and inexperience on both sides of the ball combined with a problem with the scheme on defense. The offense, while putting up good numbers, does not seem to come through when we need it. Add that to the fact that the pix-six streat Lee is on is killing us (weren't those two td's the differense this past Saturday?) and the offense is putting a lot of pressure on the d.
Chill out people, we will lose a few games this year. What rational person didn't think so? Look what UGA went through when Stafford was a freshman. What happened to UF after their championship year? With a few tweaks (new def coordinator?) and some experience, LSU will be poised at a run for a THIRD title this decade.

we are no longer in the NC hunt. I am a delutional fan who though we had a shot. I don't care about the 50 points as much as the L. Having said that the shite I've read from the negatigers does really enlighten the ignorance of perspective on this board. I think most of the older fans as myself are disappointed, but still believe that our best years are ahead. The QB's that are kicking arse this year all had struggles, so I think we will be much better next year. Unfortunely we seem to be wasting a year of talent at OL & DL. If we don't loose any Juniors, then expectations will be high again next year. Now that my NC bubble has been burst, I'm still expecting an SEC championship and a BCS berth.
