I swear it is like people don't watch football.

Saban has lost to UAB, ULM, and Utah at far superior programs. I mean those were all inexcusable.

That isn't even considering other games against legit programs and stupid shite like the Auburn game.

Saban is the best coach in the country; however, our coach is overly criticized in respect to other high profile coaches. It is like it is fun to criticize him even though there are a ton of high profile coaches that screw up.

Mike Tomlin just fricking tried to step on the field to screw up a TD run.

Like I said, kicking the field goal was not a mistake. Putting the slowest 11 guys in uniform to cover any returns is what was stupid. LSU knew there was a chance. Auburn knew there was a chance. Satan should have known too.

There was nothing wrong with kicking the field goal; however, it was dumb not having anyone who can run down a legit return man that is waiting to try and run it back.

I honestly would have sat on it and gone to overtime. It would have made me nervous going into overtime with a shitty FG kicker. I felt Auburn was going to have the advantage in overtime.

Thing is we don't have to worry about that. Les would have argued for the one second then after 1 second going back on the clock, called time out and then gone out and taken a knee.

Yeah it was monumentally dumb. Not only was the personnel very poorly chosen, but none of them had any situational awareness whatsoever. Those are coaching problems.

Yeah that would have been far better than what Alabama did.

I dislike Saban as much as anyone, but I did hear him say on a post-game interview that his decision to attempt that field goal after insisting one second remained on the game clock cost Bama the game.

Wouldn't happen.. Delahoussaye would have put the hurting on that return man. Wouldn't have gotten his world rocked like Griffin.

Who says that Saban is getting a pass. There is a lot of blame being placed on him on other boards.

He did it in 2011 against us in the 9-6 game. He botched clock management in the SECCG last year and it cost his team points before halftime. He did it this year against Auburn. It happens much more frequently than people like to believe, we just care much more about LSU and can see all the little imperfections.

I think that was Kentucky in 2007 with Colt David to win it with no time left in regulation. It actually had the distance, it missed to the left by about 1-2 yards.

ETA - and it was only 57-59 yds

Nvm...I forgot about the one at the end of the 2008 Arkansas game.

Yesterday truly got me thinking of the time he pulled Marcus Randall from the 2004 Auburn game after marching up and down for LSU's only TD.
