he is only making 1 million less than o. how much closer do you offer aranda? 3 mil, that would be getting embarrassing as a university

I just hope Aranda leaves his role a DC to become HC here. I do not want to imagine what it would be like to lose CDA.

There is a decent chance Arranda is content in his role. Just signed an extension last year. Makes a ton of money and is treated better than our HC. Looking into the future, it's too tough say. Most hot coordinators right now will be looking for HC jobs in a couple of years. Guys that we will be looking at probably haven't even popped up on the radar yet. Arranda will be tough to replace, but i think we've proven to be a great spot for DCs. I think we will have our pick of the litter and will probably go with an established name. Kentucky had a good defensive year, Ms State has had pesky defenses lately. I bet they have some experienced guys that can be poached.

O isn't gonna retire if he wins a Natty wtf.

Aranda isn't going to be a hc either. He's not meant for it.

Yeah bro. Imagine giving the defensive coordinator credit for establishing a great defense. Quite a concept.

I refuse to ruin my day by considering such a thing.

Oh well it is what it is. If LSU is serious about winning a championship then I’m sure they won’t mind if some find it embarrassing.

I guess you were living under a rock before the bowl game when Aranda said he wanted to be a HC someday.

I think it’s pretty obvious from the last few hires that they’ll promote from within. Probably Meatball.

It's astounding what the blind supporting Ed Orgeron crew on this board actually believes.

Over the past 5 seasons as the DC at Wisconsin and LSU, Dave Aranda's defense has averaged 7th nationally in total defense. His worst defense over that 5 year span was last year when the defense was ranked 12th. Every great coach calls a bad game every once in a while and Aranda is no exception.

It's truly amazing how little the "O" fans know about the team and the value of each coach.

Aranda is a highly competent DC. O will find another highly competent DC. Next man up.

Aranda is a damn good DC. But I also watched Cardale Jones at Ohio State hang 59 points on a Aranda's defense when he was at Wisconsin in 2014.

Agreed. One of the top DC, but replaceable considering the money we have to spend.

Based on La. talent and what we payed this DC, we will have no problem finding a young top 5 DC from outside the SEC that has had lots of success and wants to be in the SEC.
