Yeah we’ll see how he saves Kanas with that ground and pound

Les was always a good man and he ran a clean, organized program. His time as head coach ran and it was time to turn it over. But he was always a class person and we will always appreciate the way he ran the program during his time.

There will always be a soft spot in my heart for Les Miles.

From your link
On average, retired players receive an annual pension check of about $43,000.
That’s 5.5k a month. And you have to play like 5 years to even get it. The number was recently changed so that might be different now.

I wish he was still here as well (assuming the offense was changed). He's a great man and loves LSU.

What a shitty way to end a nice post

Fact of the matter is that most of not all of us won't see another run at LSU like Les had here.
Them are just the facts. Kids 30 years from now will wonder what it was like to watch Les roam the sidelines just like we wondered what it was like to see Dietzel down there coaching up the boys

Kathy Miles is one of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I can’t see her ever saying a bad word about LSU. That said, Les has no one to blame but himself. He was his own worst enemy for refusing to change, after given repeated chances to do so. I have nothing against the man personally, but I’m glad he’s no longer coaching at LSU.

Almost everyone likes Les Miles the man. That’s pretty undeniable.
It’s his offense everyone hated.

Makes me wonder how much of this would all be different had Saban just succeeded in the NFL and never gone to Bama.
Or better yet if he hadn’t gone to the nfl in the first place

LSU fans taking shots at one of the top 3 coaches ever. Shows the class of many individuals but it is mostly South La fans so I wouldn't expect anything different

That’s $5.5 k for every year they played, my interpretation that means played 4 years equals $22

That is a lie, just look at this thread as an example. The whole thing started about Les the man and his wife and LSU fans turned it into a shite show

Average NFL player takes home 43k a year at age 55.

Like and respect the guy tremendously. Glad he’s not our coach though. Wish him and his family all the best.

Love Les
...but...
He and Alleva should have come out of the 2011 SEC Title game saying, “Hell no, we won’t play Bama again. How in the hell is that fair to our boys? They had us at home and couldn’t finish us off. Why should they be rewarded for losing to us? We’d rather play someone who actually won their conference.” I get taking the high road, but they should have told the SEC and the NCAA that they can to go F themselves if they give us a rematch.

The cruel irony is that it was a passing play that did him in in that game.
Not really. It was the previous pitiful offensive performance in that game (and before) that did him in.
And to poster who said it was Les’ misfortune to follow Saban, I would suggest it was actually his good fortune. He inherited a newly constructed Football Ops building, the Academic Center, a national brand and loaded roster.
