Not by far. McClendon has more all time wins and Miles is a couple of percent
higher than Saban in winning percentage.

He certainly is a good man and will always be looked upon favorably for his tenure.

Miles will always be 100% LSU.

Dude loves the school wholeheartedly and would never skip the opportunity to express that throughout his time here.

LSU legend that had the game pass him by.

I wish he was still here as well (assuming the offense was changed). He's a great man and loves LSU.

All true, but he's been replaced by a good man who is willing to make changes needed in order to win and probably loves LSU even more. Works for me!

Miles main issue was he followed Saban (too high of expectations) and then had to face Saban. No one has really had success against Bama. The Clemson thing is an anomaly. No team has the DL talent they had the past few years.

Miles was a good coach at a bad time.

Except Les.
Prior to 1/9/12, Les had won in 2007, 2010 and 2011 vs the little bastard.

You are right I don't have a good opinion of Miles.

However, I want everyone on this board that has praised Miles for being great to own it.

Those people can't have it both ways. Like I point out Kanasa has won before. If Miles is great, he wins 6 by year 2.

10 years is not that long ago. I don't believe he will make it to the end of his 1st contract.

We will see who is correct.

Made me wish Les had just changed a few things over the years and maybe still be the coach here.
They old and grow old and in this case weak.

NFl pensions are considerably larger for players who got credited years after 2000 than for those in the 1980's.
It is not peanuts.
Its not great either

Peyton is expected to make 107k a year from his nfl pension. And he played 18 seasons

A guy like Dorsey can expect to make like 60k a year. But that wont be until 55. The quote about him "enjoying a nice big pension now" just isnt factual

Les lost recruiting.

Top West Monroe ot robinson and Moses and Landon Collins.

You take them off bama and put on LSU and lsu beats bama one or two and picks up 3 or 4 other wins at least.

It wasn't his fault the wr tried for two more yards instead of out of bounds vs aubie. 1 second.

Not sure 2007 should even count. That was Saban's first year and Miles had been at LSU for several years after inheriting what Saban left.

NO coach should let the fanbase run his team unless he enjoys losing !

um, do you know how long a decade is?

this will be the 10th year since the last time they won 4 or more games.

In other words ...... a decade.

If I knew what we were going to hire, I would’ve never wanted a change from Les.

If Alleva fires him at the end of 2015 or waits until closer to the end of 2016, O would never have the 8 games he got to make his case for the job. Who knows what this thing would be because I doubt our admin ever get the $$ up to pay Jimbo like A&M did.

At the end of 2015, they didn’t have to.
