The cruel irony is that it was a passing play that did him in in that game.

Not really. It was the previous pitiful offensive performance in that game (and before) that did him in.

The Harris INT was the nail in the coffin. If LSU just runs the ball there, there’s a 75-80% chance we win that game.

That was my point with that statement. Context matters.

One thing I'll always love about Les, he never, ever expected anything but a championship and didn't push narratives and PR on the fans. He acknowledged what it was whether we liked it or not

Yeah we’ll see how he saves Kanas with that ground and pound

I will be surprised if he makes it to the end of his 1st contract. Kansas has no clue what they are in for.

it’s fricking Kansas.
let’s not act like their football standards are very high.
if he wins 4 games in a season he’ll be the first KU coach to do it in a decade.

Les is a good man and I wish he had changed a few things as well. I believe that He would've had to fire Cam and for whatever reason that wasn't happening.

Les riding in on a white horse to save us after things go south with Orgeron would bring this all full circle.
I can't think of a single quality that Les would bring to this team in 2019. Hell, we are hoping that this is the year we finally erase the memory of a Les Miles offense, and that was supposed to be his strength.

I don't hold 1/9/12 against Les Miles at all. It was only made possible because of a 28-point favorite losing in an emotional, controversial upset, giving pollsters a reason to force LSU to replay the hardest game on its schedule.

Huh? This is just an attempted slap at the current coach. Not to mention most of the complaint has no basis in reality and has it's origins on this message board.

2006 Mark Mangino 6–6 3–5 4th (North)
2007 Mark Mangino 12–1 7–1 T–1st (North) W
2008 Mark Mangino 8–5 4–4 3rd (North) W
2009 Mark Mangino 5–7

The 1st thing this shows is you are wrong. 09 they won 5.

The 2nd point is its not like it has never been done there before.

My conclusion is Miles needs to win 6 games minimum by his 2nd season or he is what I think he is very average.

He just looks for any reason to attack anybody not worshiping O. The guy is talking about meeting Les, nothing to do with Orgeron and here comes Ben looking to start shite and make things up. This is what he does 24/7 he stalks the board looking to start fights.

Yep. 5 Big wins. Whoo boy!

You're right. Mangino won 5 or more games in 6 of 8 seasons between the 2002 to 2009 seasons. Since the 2009 5 win season, Kansas has won 18 games with 3 being the most in any one season.

I really wish Alleva hadn’t been allowed to fire him - imagine if Woody had come in and possibly convinced him to make some tweaks.

God I’m still pissed for firing him in the middle of the season - the Wisconsin game was a last-second Brandon Harris chokejob and the Auburn TD should have counted. Remember, it was Les who made the switch to Etling; he was willing to adapt somewhat.

if lsu fans had the option of having the next 11 years be just like (titles and win %)Miles' 11 years, they'd be insane to pass it up.

harris went 12 for 21 with 2 interceptions.

he tried to get Harris involved early but Harris was wildly inaccurate on throws that are meant to get the qb in rythym.

Harris had 3 completions in the 1st half and started the game out going 1-5.

kansas hasnt won 4 games since 2009.

plus miles has already taken a bad program( 1 .500 season or better in 11 years) and made them respectable.
