What about the student-athletes? They completely failed in that aspect.

To be clear, does he regret cheating or does he regret getting caught?

Any level of professionalism is waived in dealing with an individual that put the entire athletic program at risk for set backs.
Everyone at LSU in the know has enabled cheating and paying for players for decades. That is waiving professionalim for many people over many years. Very odd.

I will always love that man. He could be coaching Bama in 5 years and I'd still love him.
He revived this shite arse program to what it was in the early 90s. 1st SEC title in fricking generations. 1st SEC Championship game since 19 fricking 80. Yet we act like he wasn't worth a shite.
He was sloppy as frick but IMO that shows his personal investment. Dude paid his OWN salary for players. That is being invested in the program, the school, the state, and yourself. fricking love him. We are gonna look back on this and be pissed one day especially considering Woodwards basketball judgement.
He didn't have the benefit of boosters or big money people who gave a shite about Basketball here. That's why he took it upon himself. He invested his own money. I bet K and Cal never did that shite.
I'm proud to have had him and I'm proud I bought season tickets before the 2018 season.
Love you Coach Wade. I will defend your success on this forum until the day I die. He was building something special. This is a damn full rebuild and we get the 6th seed. Unbelievable coaching job man.
The worst part is Woodward and Tates official statement. They literally posted that they were "exhausted from the never ending negativity." WHO frickING CARES what national writers think. They will always shite on LSU mo matter what and history proves that. It is about US and what we think not what the national pussies think and Woodward took the Alleva way out of being influenced by fricking hit pieces. Extremely disappointed. Woodwards hire better be a home fricking run because he will always be judged against Wade and what Wade did.
Love you Coach.
Put this on my fricking tombstone.

Its not a conspiracy against Will Wade. This year, y'all blamed the Refs, he SEC, Media, Woodward, Tate... Everyone but the guilty party.
Stop blaming me for something I didn't do.

LSU is no sleeping giant in basketball. Also makes me wonder how LSU football got away with much much worst discrepancies.

An LSU booster can get caught paying a football player $180K and not much will be done by the NCAA. If that were a basketball infraction the reaction from the NCAA and media would be apoplectic. The difference is, when combined LSU football probably generates a billion dollars in revenue to the state, school, retail, media companies and NCAA combined. LSU basketball? Not so much. It's selective enforcement based on money.

Its gonna take a long while to get over this… any chance he gets rehired several years down the road? or is that not allowed after something like this… i would give the most to see him back on the sidelines

Share the texts then maybe you will be believed. Til then, stop the lying. Reports say he met with both Tate and Woodward.

Maybe he set it back to the point he was before he was hired. Some of you seem to forget where the program was under JJ.

Contrary to what you’ve probably been hearing and seeing, a show cause does not have any stipulation stating that a coach can’t be hired or can’t coach a different university. A lot of people think that a show cause means he can’t coach again but that’s not what a show cause does, the main reasons why coaches with an active show cause remain unemployed is bc most universities don’t want to deal with the hassle of adhering to all the requirements that come with one. And bc most universities don’t want to take the risk of ruining their reputation. Ever seen the movie “Easy A”? Just like Emma Stone being branded with the giant A, a show cause brands a coach.
Edit** ahh my bad, I reread your question and see what you were asking lol. Good question, I wonder if lsu black listed him or if he has the possibility of being rehired here. Idk.

Yeah, it's intended to be both a massive pain in the arse and huge risk for any program that hires a coach on a show cause.
The show cause actually came about mainly because of backlash from fans over coaches fricking programs over and not getting severe punishment themselves.

Jordy Culotta had an interesting podcast yesterday.
People are assuming the allegations in the NOA are true and there’s evidence to support them all. According to Jody, some of the allegations are misleading and in some cases completely untrue, driven by hearsay only.
He breaks it down nicely. Worth a listen.
The Wade segment starts at about the 9 minute mark.
