So I spoke to Will Wade tonight…

He is heartbroken. Hard to believe and have reality set in that it’s over. That he wakes up in the morning and is used to putting on an LSU shirt— that being fired when you’re losing is different because sometimes some of the love is lost— he was still in love 
The story is true about him getting fired over the phone and the players finding out on Twitter. Adam Miller, Fudge, and Murray took it the hardest.
He said he’s been a player away a couple times, but that eventually as the NCAA storm cleared, he’d put the whole thing together.
He will tell his side of the story eventually. Won’t say anything else here.
It will be the “biggest regret of his life” what happened at LSU and not being able to complete the mission to bring a natty home to LSU and awaken the sleeping giant that is LSU basketball.
He was looking forward to raising his kids as LSU fans. That LSU basketball deserves a winner.
He was the right man for the job because he understood Louisiana. It takes a special coach to succeed here because of that, but when they do get the right guy, all bets are off. He hopes that LSU fans enjoyed the time he was there and hopefully he will be a proof of concept for a coach down the line. Make it ALL about Louisiana. “And boot the frick up”
His favorite team and coaching moment was Tremont’s first year when they were winning all kinds of games they shouldn’t. This year’s team with Adam Miller was gonna be top 2 in the SEC and the best team he’s coached.
I am sad :(
