1. Because we actually have winning seasons back to back and not only once a decade.
2. The LSU Tigers got their mascot from the 9th Louisiana cavalry that fought in the Civil War. Gen Robert E. Lee called them the "Louisiana Tigers" because they were fearless in battle.

you asked for 3 GOOD reasons why you should like watching LSU football. you didn't say how ardent of a college football fan you are. If you love college football you have one good reason right there.
there are NO OTHER GOOD REASONS for an Ole Miss fan to like watching LSU football. I would politely decline to watch a game on TV, maybe go with him to watch a live game and most certainly do not watch LSU vs Ole Miss together.
