We’re almost assuredly going to be about the same next season as we are this year and hopefully that’ll be enough to get serious about winning here but is there a plan or a vision for LSU basketball? Thats the thing I question most.

Deserved or not he will get a third year. He better have something to show next year or he probably is gone

Give him time.

Losing is fun and financially good for the athletic department. Things will get easier next year with Texas and Oklahoma joining the league.

This thread of full of low iq plant workers Par for the course of Louisiana for you

Don’t kid yourself into believing that. Those low iq self entitled, know it all, flat bill wearing, HoF coaches you see around here are nothing but a bunch of instant gratification losers that are not happy unless they’re miserable. Probably quite a few of them are sporting those man buns and wear skinny sweats. Those same used douchenozzles are the same ones that wanted Jay Johnson fired last year a Brian Kelly again this year.

They have miserable lives and absolutely nothing else to hang their hats on outside of bitching.

I’m guessing those guys that work at whatever plants are more worried about hunting and fishing versus bitching about college athletics.

As far as I’m concerned this is year 1 and the improvement is laudable since November. I’m disappointed we lost last night but overall optimistic. Not what the I want it all and I want it now people want to hear but so be it.

As is the case with every bad basketball team

Most bad basketball teams don't compete with good teams on the road. Most bad basketball teams didn't have their team decimated by the firing of the coach and a cloud of sanctions hanging over their head for 2 years. Apples and oranges.

I know we aren’t winning. Especially in the road. But I think he gets two more. This years team is much more fun to watch

The truth is he is evaluated after every year. Unfortunately for the Wade nut huggers he is doing a good job and meeting all goals in rebuilding the program, so he will be here for a long while.

I like MM .He inherited a cluster and only took the job
because it set his family up for life.He is a good X@O
coach but he lacks the personality that LSU basketball
needs to relivent.Dale and WW had the used car salesman
attitude to recruit good to great players that would get us to the torney most years.LSU needs a Bruce Pearl type of coach.Someone with a go-getter personalty.

What do you think the goal was for this year when Woody and Matt sat down last April? Pretty sure it was to improve the conference record while adding young players to build a core group of players. Check and check.

ETA: Annoying Wade cucksters like yourself was just an added bonus.

I wouldn't have hired McMahon and said so at the time. Ignoring his contract ...7 years I believe...I would fire him after this season (year 2). Having said that with the contract, next season he is gone unless he finishes ABOVE .500 in the SEC. That would get LSU a low seed in the NCAA tournament. But from what I've seen with the roster back next season and his meh recruiting in 2024 class so far, LSU won't finish above .500.
