Woody doesn't seem to mind paying contracts off as evidenced by several of our former coaches. Orgeron notwithstanding

He is a typical politician, loose with other folks money.
He isn't losing any sleep, nor weight, obviously.

Who in their right mind thinks that canning him after this year would be a good idea?

Mississippi State fired Joe Moorhead after 2 years and went and hired tPirate (RIP). We need to make a move like that.

Because woody gave him a ridiculous fricking contract

There are only two coaches in the SEC who make less than him, one being Missouri’s coach

I swear the stupidity of these posts gets better and better. He gets at least 3-4 years just like every other coach does. But the fact that these losers in life spend every minute posting how much they hate MM EVERY SINGLE FRICKING GAME shows just how miserable these people are. He ain't going anywhere. This team is a couple of board cleaners and a solid PG away from winning some of these games. Hopefully he has them on the bench and with the 2025 commitments. Let's see where he ends up. If he gets to 8-9 SEC wins then he has improved over last year and maybe he pulls off the upset against KY at home next tuesday. Either way he is our coach for the next 1-2 years and this constant whining from the old women with PMS is getting old.

He’s probably talking about the length. 7-8 years for a coach with not much of a resume is way too much. Normally for anybody except elite coaches you’re not gonna get more than 5 years to start.

Out of curiosity, how much do you get paid?

Only thing that really matters is his buyout. It was 5 million after year one and goes down a million each year before landing at $500k in year 6. So after this year it’s 4 million and 3 million next year. That’s nothing

But how does that factor into the new hire? If we actually hire someone worth a damn plus the buyout you’re looking at 9 mil+. Thats the number that matters and not saying he wouldn’t pay that I’m just not certain he’s that committed to winning.

Woodward graduated in 85 which means he was here during the glory days of the 82 and 86 Final Four and camping outside the PMAC the night before the Kentucky games. So I'm sure he wants the best for MBB and he'll make a change after next year if there's no turnaround

Doesn't that tell you how bad a shape the program was in when Wade left? They couldn't attract anyone of merit without upping the contract length and even then they were only able to pull McMahon.

The question isn't how much I get paid. The question is how miserable does your life have to be that you spend your free time posting negative crap about a coach and team EVERY FRICKING WEEK. That is the question. And I make $noneofyour frickingbusiness/year BTW.

I don’t know that’s there’s any evidence to support that. If the plan was to hire a bridge guy to get to the next you wouldn’t do that and if McMahon was demanding that length to come here you just don’t hire him because he doesn’t posses that type of leverage. No there were better options out there for cheap we just made the wrong hire.

No one can come in here and turn it around if you fired MM after 2 years really, see South Carolina, and ole piss there coaches are in there 1st and 2nd years,it can be done. However LSU has the coach that we must wait until year 3 to possibly do more than just win moral victorys,he'll let's give him 8 years maybe he can get LSU to the NIT.
