I kind of like McMahon but man that’s a brutal statistic. Next year he has to make to make the tournament next season. He definitely gets one more year

I feel like Woodward was forced to fired Will Wade. You can discredit him winning at Mcneese but they were a terrible program for 20 years.

McLoser gets ONE more year (not deserved)
No NCAA, he should be fired regardless of his record

I hate to see Mac and his like minded Mac supporters be disappointed, so I vote Mac stays till his contract expires.

I don't buy this. We could have done like McNeese or Michigan with Harbaugh and suspended him for half a season.
Just really difficult to accept that we had a coach that was going to have us in contention every March for the foreseeable future and now we are back to being the doormat of the SEC
Really fricking sucks to not see your teams name pop up on selection sunday

Big difference in losing and potentially giving up 100 points 3 games in a row and losing by 20.
you must be thrilled

Tate and Scott didn’t particularly like Wade, so the NOA was a convenient opportunity to get rid of him. Woody in particular didn’t like the way he took shots at the poor facilities. Let’s be honest, Woody has made it clear he wants his people, and for the most part he’s been good at bringing in new coaches, so he either has a huge blind spot for MBB hires (his hiring history actually supports this) or he just simply doesn’t care about MBB

But they got the moral victory, frick it I've seen enough MM is a bum and a bad coach fire him now before we have 4 more years of moral victorys!

When did either (Wade or Harbaugh) sit for half a season?

I have to give him credit. He’s finding new ways to lose.
Shoots 55% vs Alabama…loses by 17 because Alabama had 21 more FG attempts.
Tonight LSU, on the road, out-shoots Florida:
FG% - 51% to 49%
Three point % - 52% to 24% (made 7 threes to Florida’s 4)
FT% - 62% to 60%
And STILL lost because, again, they allowed an opponent to attempt significantly more FGs (68 to 55)
While I always disagree with such shallow analysis, John Brady always talks about how important it is to win the FG% battle. So he has to be losing his mind wondering how the frick LSU won that battle in the last two games and still lost? One in blowout fashion.
The answer is because McMahon seems to have an uncanny ability to find a way to cancel out good shooting nights. There have been multiple games this year where LSU has a higher FG% yet lost because of turnovers, terrible rebounding, and/or bad defense. He seems to be the anti-modern analytics master

I didn’t really understand the strategy of running with Bama. That strategy coupled with the fact they got killed on the boards made winning next to impossible. Throw in wrightsell’s 3’s and you get a blow out.

Yea I cant wait to see which average basketball coach LSU settles for next go round. LOL at any of y’all thinking LSU is going to hire an elite men’s basketball coach.

Who in their right mind thinks that canning him after this year would be a good idea? How would a team ever get out of the doldrums if they hired a new coach every 2 years? Do you really expect a new coach to come in next year and do better? That never happens. So you’re basically asking for another two years of starting over.

Woody doesn't seem to mind paying contracts off as evidenced by several of our former coaches. Orgeron notwithstanding
