So hear me out: we should cancel the SLU game to give the boys a mental health day.

Last year we canceled the Grambling game because of a light drizzle, depriving those fine young men of a chance to play in the Cathedral of College Baseball. I still haven’t forgotten when Slow Learners University couldn’t get their shxt together to stream the 2023 game in Hammond. We run ruled that arse, but that wasn’t punishment enough. Deprive them of the experience of a lifetime in THE BOX.

Cancel this game and give the boys a mental health break. 90% of baseball is mental; the other half is physical. This team is not good, but getting swept in three straight SEC series for the first time ever means they’re the worst LSU baseball team OF ALL TIME.

There’s no way this team is the worst baseball team in HISTORY. Kids have it rough these days. Give them a night off Tuesday. Let them get their minds right. Maybe the team can gather in the Marucci Performance Center and watch a movie together! On paper, USCe is a series where they could conceivably win one or two games, but it could be a fourth straight sweep with the current mental state of the team. Let them stop thinking about baseball for a night so they can shake back for a winnable series. The run to the Westwood Regional starts Friday!

Anyway, what say tRant? I’ll hang up and listen.

I'm kind of an SLU Baseball fan and I think LSU is scared to play them.

Or we could make them run wind sprints after practice and see who wants to be here.

I would do that with Noot and Rizy. Each face 18 batters, no matter how it goes.

This is not how we roll. We will have to start learning how to lose until next year.

That could turn into a 7 hour session of BP and recurring bases loaded walks before the run rule even goes into effect.

LSU athletics is quickly becoming every example of what not to do in modern college athletics considering how down we've been with all the money we're spending.

I’ve said this whole year, way too much money in the big 3 men for the ROI. Coaches need to be paid on incentives and stop giving them insane upfront contracts
