So far, 8 people have added to that total because of this thread's existence.

Too stupid to bother with an actual response.

we won a lot of games, but almost entirely in the first half of Miles tenure. the back half was mediocre.

the National Championship required a ton of luck because Miles somehow managed to lose 2 games with the best team in the country that season.

2011 was the best team in CFB history and he ruined it.

he was stubborn, a liar, outdated and thumbed his nose at the fanbase and administration.

If you can't find anything to appreciate about the last decade of LSU football then you are an idiot and probably will never enjoy LSU football. I say that as someone who agrees that it was time for change.

if you can't generate an ounce of appreciation for the man, i don't consider you an LSU fan.

Bandwagon fan at best.

What does it say about you, that you'd take time out of your day to make a thread to address down votes on another thread?

Just enjoy what's going on and quit worrying about the negative.

Bitter, miserable people. If you can't appreciate what Les accomplished while he was here now that he's gone, you really should reevaluate your fandom

So there's only one way to view Les's tenure at LSU? Interdasting.

Considering we have hundreds of thousands, maybe even 1 million fans. I think that number isn't too bad

I'd love to know where you got that out of what I posted.

You can view his tenure however you like, but the fact is that the man accomplished a lot while here. If you can't admit that, frankly your opinion is useless.

Why are you Milesers so hell bent on making sure he was appreciated?? He won a lot of games, but UNDERACHIEVED. 2006 was possibly one of the greatest teams in LSU history...and scored 3 vs Auburn. Jimbo to this day says LSU should've won by 3 TD's. 2007...lucky. 2 loses and was ranked 7th prior to the SECCG. Lost to unranked Ar-kansas at home with a shot at the NC on the line. Again, got lucky. 2011 was possibly the greatest team in the history of college football and absolutely had ZERO idea of how to change in the BSCNCG and, quite frankly, appeared to go down with the ship. THAT game could've changed a bunch of opinions about him. Then you have the "clock it" Ole Miss game and absolute clusterfrick of a miracle against Tennessee in 2010. Don't forget the hasty attempt at a timeout following an interception against Tennessee in '05. The dude's a doof and always has been.

But if it makes you feel better...thanks for all of the aforementioned tidbits Les.

This...

1 thing I have been thinking also.
Saban left LSU in 2004, started with Alabama in 2007
Why do current LSU students hate Nick Saban??
Weren't the vast majority of current LSU students in Elementary school when all this took place??

The only thing you could be thankful for is if he resigned after 2011, otherwise, Miles should be thankful for becoming a wealthy man.

He under proformed for his salary and talent that came to LSU.

There is not one person who looks at football objectively that wouldn't agree.

You said that if I couldn't appreciate what he accomplished here, then I'm a bitter miserable person.

Some synonyms for appreciate are value, treasure, admire, respect. A synomynous phrase would be "hold in high regard."

I can't hold his accomplishments in high regard while believing he underachieved.
And whether or not he underachieved is a debatable question.

So take it back, lunchbox.
