Not true. The word “racist” means something. Just because someone is a bad actor, or does something evil, that does not make him a racist. He has to judge people based on their race to be a racist. Mislabeling someone as “racist” or “Uncle Tom” (itself a mislabel) is not racist.

This attitude here is why I respect the shite out of immigrants that come here to make it on OUR terms. I’d lock arms and go to battle with that attitude any day.

That shithead in the WAPO article? Lick my nuts, putz!

This is always hilarious. Kinda like Lebron talking about inequality while wearing an outfit that cost more than most middle class families’ homes. Or during the pandemic when people were getting money shamed yet Lebron was going viral for his wholesome taco Tuesday videos with his personal house staff serving him.

What if the mislabeling is done with the intent to harm the character of another because the “mislabeler” is judging the white people on the sole basis of their skin?

The only reason this article exists is because Brian Kelly is white (writer and Collis Temple judging him before they met him, thinking he was thinking in his head the n-word etc). By your definition that’s racist

Did we not just witness a judge and her family showing how they really see black ppl. I could site other examples of this sort of thing, but I'd like to remain on topic.

Racism is not proprietary to White people. There are Black folks who say things just as vile when in the comfort of their homes, I'm certain.

I believe the highest paid official, with state tax dollars at LSU, is the president of the university. Anyone making more than the president is paid with non tax dollars (TAF).

It's funny how some people had no problem buying a house on certain streets with certain names. Years later, all of a sudden, these street names offend them. If you don't like it MOVE.

Now this is just stupid. The people you are referring to were not legally allowed to move to certain areas until not that long ago.

Some how if you get beaten up or arrested for simply trying to shop or ride the bus or are denied basic rights that takes precedence over street names.

Also funny how people don’t have a problem with changing a street name for something they support. If you can change Hagen Ave to be renamed after a traitor 50 years after the Civil War why can’t you change Jefferson Davis Parkway 106 years later?

When is the last time someone was “beaten up or arrested” for simply trying to shop or ride the bus in Baton Rouge?

I agree with the main point which is that it is kind of obscene that a football coach now makes over ten million a year with bonuses and perks when so many people are barely making ends meet. The thing I disagree with is painting it as racism when they could just as easily have found many white men in the same circumstances. The difference between the haves and have nots is becoming a huge problem but there is no color barrier. It affects 60 to 80 percent of the population and gets larger every day.

Where have you been the last 50 years? Blacks were buying into white neighborhoods in the early 70's.

But hey, we all prioritize issues differently. I understand why so many have issue with the article. While many are prioritizing a damn football program as being more important than uplifting the surrounding community is beyond me.

The football program sustains itself, it asks of nothing from anyone or any entity and gets nothing from them.

Prioritization has nothing to do with this really. It's not like there is money allocated to the whole community and they are choosing to give it to the football program over and above all else. It's just not that way.

You tell us ways to uplift the community - give us your solution. And if it's the same things I always hear....throwing money at it really has never worked and it really never will.

Uplifting people/communities is spiritual and personal, not financial. If it does not start there all the money in the world ain't gonna change anything.

Wow. Are you running out of race baiters? Racism is in every culture, country, and corner and it is not going to go away. People everywhere are different. There are pure evil, in your face, racists. Some racists are behind closed doors. Lo and behold, some people are not racist at all.

I have often wondered, being a Heinz 57 mixture of "races" myself why it even matters?
