Well, Dandy Don says hitting needs to improve, so what else is new in LSU Baseball? Same shite, different year! If last year wouldn't have ended early, Manarie would not be coach this year!

Private university so they can offer scholarships that other schools can't. That's sort of a bad example.

Why is it so hard for y’all to get that we don’t have unlimited scholarships, steroids, the old bats and balls? Gorilla ball isn’t coming back and neither is LSU blowing out every team they play and hitting 5 homers a game. PM isn’t the one who changed the game. Sorry to inform you of that. The 90’s aren’t coming back
Nobody expects Gorilla Ball but Maineiri Ball features numerous errors, weak infield play, and loyalty to players like Hal Hughes who hit below .200 and leadoff in the batting order. Then there are the annual injured Pitchers which has become a trademark of CPM.
LSU has trouble getting out of its own Super Regional or Regional for that matter. CPM is just drawing his check and has been doing that same thing for 5 or 6 years now.
What we see from CPM today is the same damn thing we have seen for years now. Why is it so hard for some of you to understand this?

LSU fans would have wanted Corbin fired years ago. He has been at Vandy since 2003 and has only been to Omaha 4 times.
And also while we are talking about it going by LSU fans standards Sullivan would have been fired at Florida way before his 2017 National Championship. Consistently has the best talent in the country and only one national title to show for it. Unacceptable.
I say that to say this. CPM is a better coach than LSU fans give him credit for. He also has flaws and I wouldn’t be upset if they decided to move on from him, but If you think that some other coach is going to come to LSU and be as good as Skip was in the 90’s you are mistaken. 1984 Skip Bertman could show up to LSU and coach for 18 years again and not have the same success.

Just drawing a check by going to the CWS finals 3 whole years ago? Damn pretty good return on your investment then. I’m fairly certain most posters in this thread crying do not follow college baseball year in and year out

Yep and when LSU got to Omaha Pitching problems popped up like Walker blowing his arm out. This kind of thing happens to CPM all the time. His pitching staff is dealing with key injuries every damn year.

So its his fault when pitchers get injuries now lol? After this loss to AF ya'll were mad because he wasnt throwing pitchers enough. The reason he's doing that is so he can ease them along and not put too much stress on their arms and injure them in the first series. Which one is it?

LSU has had several teams with good fielding percentages under PM

Hal Hughes
Come on dude. Y’all act like PM thought Hughes was all world. He played him because he thought he was the best option defensively. If you recall, Hughes lost his spot to freshman Cranford after struggling defensively. Had LSU gotten the shortstops on campus who told PM they were coming then Hughes never would have played. There’s a good chance Arnold would have started at SS last year had he not been still recovering to start the season. Y’all see what you want to see. Lead off? Yeah okay.

The trademark of PM even though he doesn’t coach pitchers and goes out of his way not to over pitch them or extend them too long. He’s talked extensively over the last two years about the new methods the training staff used to monitor the health of their arms. And if you didn’t know, other schools have dealt with similar issues. Things happen. Was Tre Morgan’s arm injury in high school PM’s fault too?

OP do you not see that our baseball team has gotten worse the past 10 years??

Yes. CPM works the fuk out of the pitching staff. Bullpen after bullpen. The problem with your boy CPM is that his pitching recruiting is poor. He usually has 1 stud and rides him like a rented Mule. The rest of the staff is comprised of a couple of mediocre pitchers and a bunch of guys who can't be counted on to go out and beat Southern or McNeese or UNO in a Mid-Week game. I suppose you don't recall that we lost to La Tech, Southern, NW State, McNeese, and ULL not to mention getting drilled by Texas in a 3 game sweep where LSU's pitching looked like batting practice. LSU's pitching has been mediocre at best in the last 6-7 years. This cannot be denied.

I love that CPM simultaneously throws guys too much but also takes guys out too soon. He doesn’t use enough arms but also relies on too many. This board is hysterical.

Sure. PM decides to just continuously make our pitchers throw bullpens all the time. He doesn’t let the pitching coach and trainers decide that. Got it. You really seem to be in the know haha

Not my boy. I just compare other programs and don’t see where many have done better. Y’all can’t decide whether we have the best players that PM causes to underperform or sucky recruits that PM causes to become even worse!

I recall that our Friday starter was a first round draft pick. I recall that there was a real chance that Landon Marceaux would never see campus. I recall that the plan for Jaden Hill last year was to have him in the relief role until he built up stamina and move into the weekend rotation some time in SEC play. I recall Texas’ coach asking how Hill was in college baseball and not the majors after we played them. That creates a starting rotation of Henry, Marceaux, and Hill with AJ Labas as your midweek guy. I recall our current closer getting first team all American preseason consideration. I recall Ty Floyd potentially being the midweek starter as a freshman and several freshman who are throwing in the low to mid 90’s. I recall them addressing the problem of left handed pitching by recruiting more.

And in spite of that and PM holding them back, they still made it to the CWS final in 2017.

Dude I seriously think that you have some sort of learning disability so I will no longer reply to you anymore. I don’t like to rattle someone who is already slow in the head to begin with....
How the hell did I play “whack a mole” you stupid stupid fuke? I did what NORMAL people having a debate about something do... I responded to your comment with counterpoints and evidence to back up my counterpoints. BOTH; and I mean literally BOTH of your replies, had no sustenance whatsoever. Also YES we are a powerhouse in recruiting. And Idgaf what the other poster guy said about being at a disadvantage to Vandy, recruiting wise ((although he is technically correct)) because you were/are responding to ME. He has/had nothing to do with me; nor I him.
If you could ever respond with an intelligent reply and argument; with evidence to support your statements; then I’d might possibly take you seriously... but right now I’m wasting time trying to argue with a 11 year old kid
