Maybe to you. And we hardly played last year before the season was cancelled before we even got to SEC play.

Pulmonary apologist: “it’s the same thing from haters every year.”

Also Pulmonary apologist: “it’s not any continuation from anything. It’s one game”

People just want the 90’s back, it’s been awhile since that kind of consistency, and last year was cut short, so, it’s going to happen

it was called gorilla ball, and an offensive free for all. you wont see anything like that ever again in college baseball, since bat regulations and player safety have become extremely strict.
it is more so a strategic, defensive; almost "small ball" type of game now...

Ok but you don’t abandon offense just because it’s not slow pitch softball anymore. You’ve still got 20+ homer hitters all over the country and LSU was winning titles with Todd Walkers 12- 22 Home Runs in a season. The Gorilla Ball excuse isn’t real. What I mean is why can’t we have 3-4 guys with Brad Hawpe type production if we can’t hit the dingers? Why can’t we have gap threatening hitters who produce 26-30 doubles in a year?

Paul seems like a good guy, but it’s been time for some new blood. Energy and momentum is severely lacking in the program and has been for years.

Totally agree.

It's not just one loss man. It's season after season after season of seeing the same ole mediocre bullshite from our baseball team when we have everything we need to be an elite program year in and year out. People are tired of losing to teams that we shouldn't lose to. After a while of seeing the same shite, no matter what players we have to work with, it has to be the coaching. Wake up dude. This lsu program isn't anywhere near where it should be and hasn't been for some time now. Our standards have taken a dive and our expectations have as well. It's time for a change and if Paul doesn't get to Omaha this year, I believe he is gone and should be. He can only survive so long on winning a national title in 2009. We deserve better and will get it. If Paul can't do it, then we will find someone who can. Period.

And it’s not just about the L, it’s the process and the year after year failure in that process you’re alluding to. It’s baseball, you drop games to inferior opponents, it happens. But what’s not supposed to happen is pitch handling mistakes by the coach or ridiculous moves on the field or 40 lineup changes all season long. It’s the poor habit building in general people are sick of seeing. Everyone old enough watched Bertman drop midweek games. Nobody’s dumb enough to think that doesn’t happen, though it seems some are dumb enough to suggest people think it.

Yes we beat them in 2017, does that erase the rest of the decade? I’m not sure what you’re trying to prove with this example? Troy beat LSU in football 2017 so Troy is better?

How many games did we play last year before the entire season was cancelled?

I get the frustration but for the last few years I've been seeing, "he needs to get bigger guys that can tattoo the baseball." So now he gets that and now it's, "these guys can't field the ball. I wish they'd stop trying to kill the ball."

I agree, Hellmers is a liability at 3rd. I don't know if it's jitters or what but he needs to sit until he relaxes.

I'm not all "don't say anything bad about Manieri." He makes some decisions that make me scratch my head too.

But to put it all on him is a stretch to me. I saw during the game thread today about people getting upset at pitchers not throwing strikes like they should.

I do agree Manieri is reactionary and I wish he wouldn't be so reactive to do things.

I just don't understand the "OMG fire him now! We're awful" attitude. Especially after literally the first two games.

oh were comparing football season to a baseball season now?

dude go to bed; your a moron if you think lsu isnt one of the top 2 programs in the country... in the 90's and still today...
2019 PM pulled a regional out of his arse with an extremely inexperienced lineup... just like this year he will ... last time we had an experienced lineup it took us to Omaha, where we lost to fla only bc our rotation was completely depleted/exhausted. poche threw like his worst game....
but since our cws final runner up season lsu has only done what? won a regional and continually pull in top recruiting classes... if were on the decline and all those prograns are so much better, then why doesnt our recruiting reflect that???

No, they beat us twice in the Corvallis Regional 14-1, then 12-0.

No we’re comparing success. Why do you guys all play Whac-A-Mole when you have questions put to you? It’s goalpost moving at light speed with you people, why is that? Don’t you believe the things you’re saying, can’t you articulate those points?

Oh so we’re a recruiting powerhouse now? Awhile ago we were at such a disadvantage talent wise. I’d say it’s sad that you don’t get paid for the extent you go to protect Pulmonary but with the level of service you provide you shouldn’t be paid.

I think all the guy was trying to say was that we've recruited a different style of player in the last few years.

He got bigger guys, both in pitching and hitting. Is it perfect? Of course not but no baseball team is.

I think that's all the guy was trying to say.
