If Skenes ends up being a hall of famer in the bigs, I think that’s a video clip that will follow him around forever

I think a statue in Omaha would be fitting, as that is where Boys Town got started.

Video of the Skenes/Millazo iconic moment heading to the dogpile from three prospectives. On the ESPN audio feed at the time Millazo is hopping before jumping on the pile you can hear "Go Tigers, Go Tigers" voice over. Does anyone know where that came from? Sounded like Coach O.

Parting memory leaving Omaha en route to airport Tuesday was seeing LSU Mardi Gras beads dangling off the neck of the Road to Omaha statue outside Charles Schwab.

Statues are better if they represent events instead of individuals.

The event is the moment LSU won the national championship and a selfless player carried an injured player to the dogpile. The names of the players are 100% irrelevant and the story would still be awesome.

There’s a no brainer. This has to etched in stone around the box somewhere. Legends

If you are Jay Johnson that image should be the foundation of your program from here on.

Arguably the biggest star on your team...in a moment where it would have been completely reasonable for him to excitedly run to the mound to celebrate...selflessly remains at the dugout to help an injured and far lesser known player get to the mound with everyone else to celebrate with his teammates.

I don't think anyone ever did, but if a person/GM had even the slightest of concerns about Skenes's character, that act eliminated all of those. Skenes didn't do that for a photo-op or to go viral on social media. He simply did it because it was the right thing to do....even though he knew it meant he was going to be the last person to get to the celebration because of it.
