I said it once I'll say it again LSU (RIGHT NOW) needs to get the Micky Romono NIL fund started if they haven't started it yet and I'll contribute to it!!! Need to do everything possible to get Romano to LSU! This is a fricking joke at SS!

why don’t you go blow Orgeron and Paul’s nuts some more. You’ve never played a sport in your life.
At least I can speak from experience and metrics. Last year Thompson who started for dear ole Pawl, was a .93% fielder for and-to F grade and Mr Doughty was a .94. That is HORRIBLE. A team fielding at .95 is horrible.

There are 3 former Hs SS on this roster that I know of in Doughty, Thompson and Dugas. You may be a good Hs SS doesn’t mean you’re worth a shite at this level. I played with a Juco SS that was a vacuum cleaner but he had no range and his arm strength was limited. In other words he made every play he was capable of making. Thompson forgot how to do the simple stuff. He sits back and gets played. I was a 2nd and 3rd baseman. I got in trouble and had to quit in 1967 but can remember every bad play that cost my team. I couldn’t flush it. Thompson can’t flush it.

If Bianco is healthy he needs to be at SS

He has been hit and Miss healthy all year.
His first year he was .94% fielder. Last year at .99%. Where did he play mostly last year? Outfield and second. We have no idea what kind of a SS he was shown to be at practice this season. Their best bet is to use Doughty and be limited in range and maybe Bianco at second. Who knows but you still have a SS TV at has made a shite load of errors.

But y’all are complaining about errors. What good is range if you boot the double play right to you

Was sitting there in awe at the missed DP. I agree. At some point the routine shite has to take priority over range and hitting.
I'm as positive as they come but even I had a knee jerk reaction today and blurted out that I won't come to another game if Thompson is at SS. Clearly I was just angry but it's getting absurdly frustrating.
Glad we won in spite of Thompson's error costing us 2 runs.

Amazing how different the Rant’s opinion is on Thompson compared to January. Anyone who dared say anything negative about Thompson in the offseason got destroyed. Even though Thompson wasn’t very good last season and had a ton of errors in the regional and super regional.

I'd start my dog at SS over Thompson. I guarantee you he wouldn't take as many shits in the middle of the infield.

Thats not what your first statement said. You specifically said "better" and at the SS position. That position is a different beast than some of the others. Each one has its own difficulty level, but SS requires range and speed that some other players just don't have. He's the best we've got at SS, it seems.

You’re wasting your time dealing with a moron this dense.

Thompson has so much ability that he is hard to give up on.

If we do go to plan B it's Cranford for me.

I think my go to would be move Doughty back to SS and put Bianco at 2nd. Even if its just for the midweek game. Give him a reset.

Isn’t Bianco hurt? (Jw bc I’ve heard some say he is, and some say he isn’t)

This is what I’d do if hypothetically speaking everyone was healthy and no injuries limiting any possibility…
-I’d do everything you said but swap Bianco for Dugas… Dugas played 4 in 2019 so he is familiar with the position. That would add Dugas’ bat back into the lineup, without having to sacrifice scratching Stevenson. He’s a solid 7 and we’ve seen glimpses of the potential he has at the plate
