Really? B/c he took down a TE for a 1 yd gain, one play after crossing the field taking down Richardson and make up for ried and taylor's missed tackels. Game changing play.

I love my tigers but I thought that play was just stupid.

shite happens...you should be here today,...talking heads are saying he threw a forearm and clocked the guy....and should have been thrown out of the game...???...what I saw was a hand on the shoulder, turning the defender causing him to fall badly....but nothing is being said about the helmet to helmet hit on Sheppard on the pass down the sideline...that's ok...I WILL NEVER PULL FOR BAMA AGAIN...I hope they get curb stomped every game...sore losers...

Watch the replay on CST and Kirkpatrick grabs TM7's face mask and pulls him down by the facemask on Alabama's first punt in the second half. That was a much more blatant penalty!

Ok all you delusional fricks.. Tm7 was running a step behind dre, Then he stuck his closed fist hand / arm around dre should pads and in front of his chest. This is called a arm bar which is completely fricking legal. So Stop fricking crying and bashing our own player. It was neither stupid or selfish. He was trying to block for the return man. tm7 can't fricking help that dre hurt himself while falling down. If anything it was just holding and that's it. If you can't see that you a fricking idiot, and need to DIAF before you are able to reproduce and further damage this world ur scum of offspring.

This is what I thought at the time - and I'm not sure it was a mistake to stop him. It looks to me like K had the opportunity to make a big hit and perhaps even cause a fumble there.

I am a big opponent of all the 'swagger' crap, but in this case I thought TM saved OBJ.

Hard to say, I think OBJ could have gotten a step on him regardless, but either way TM7 had no way of knowing that. He wanted to protect his returner (his job), and was undoubtedly pissed at some of the things Kirkpatrick had gotten away with, so I don't blame the kid. Thought he had a great game, and has had an incredible season.

While it was definitely dirty in my opinion (there's always questionable tackles in every game), what's done is done and time to move on.

Please explain what was dirty about it. TM got his hand in front of Dre's shoulder and turned him around. He can't help the way he fell to the ground.

He was burned a few times on crossing patterns allowing first downs. He smack talks better than he covers. He needs to just STFU and play football.

Because it was a blatant block in the back. He wrapped is arms around the guys neck.

I'm not whining about it though so don't try and turn it into that. What's done is done. The game is over, the better teams won so it's time to prepare for the next game.

Crossing patterns are one of the single hardest routes to cover in man coverage. Why do you think Offensive Coordinators love to call them?

Didn't hit Dre in the back and definitely didn't wrap his arm around Dre's neck. He hit him in the shoulder and wrapped his arm around Dre's chest. Get your eyes checked.

I disagree. He clearly grabs under his right shoulder pad and spins him around. It isn't a legal hit, but that was hardly a dirty hit. I don't think your are whining about it either, just see it differently - I don't think that TM7 meant to injure Kirkpatrick was just trying to make a hard hit. It's easy to dissect a play in slow motion and find something that isn't there, but when players are playing with that intensity and speed sometimes things just happen.

I never said crossing routes were easy to cover....but it isn't as if he is matched up against the best wr's on the other team. He makes most of his plays in zone and blitzing. He needs to play ball and only talk shite if he makes a play.

Yeah, I've got a buddy who laughed about Colt McCoy's injury in the title a couple years ago.

I suppose every team has them though.

I'm sick of fellow LSU fans defending this hit. It was a selfish dirty play that could have cost LSU the game. I'm also sick of #7 talking trash after every single blasted play even if he gets burned. LSU does not need his mess as a player and he is expendable; the Auburn game proved that.
i agree it was a stupid play but if you watched closely.....kirkpatrick talked shiate to hb7 the whole game along with many other bama players...if i was hb7 i would have been ready to fight...i know it comes along with the game but we saw him do something immature because of the constant shite talking.....i bet ya the next mofo who wants to talk smack about fukin ur momma to hb7 will think twice next time before hb7 close lines him too.....

[quote]Second, it wasn't a dirty hit, stupid yes, but not dirty. Kirkpatrick was gunning on Beckham and in the speed of the game, I believe TM got desperate and misjudged the play. He probably thought Kirkpatrick had a chance to tee off on Beckham. It was an obvious hold as called after reviewing the play. It was not a "closeline" as Bama fans are making it out to be. [/quote

Could not have said it any better. Good observation and point!
