As has been pointed out, the game is NOT at old Legion Field. It's in downtown B'ham, right across the street from the SEC offices (Stop in...Hand deliver your complaint about Bama bias, the officials, etc.)
The new stadium is very nice. There are several worse cities with bowl games than Birmingham. Jacksonville isn't exactly a tropical paradise, for one. Plus, B'ham is very reachable by car from Louisiana.
