Should you bet LSU on a 2023 / 2024 National Championship Future?

Collin Wilson thinks so.

LINK

quote:

The offense and defense will have their primary stars return. Daniels comes back at quarterback after posting 17 passing touchdowns to just three interceptions. Add in more than 1,000 yards on the ground with 11 rushing touchdowns, and Daniels’ name will be a hot commodity in the early Heisman voting.

The defense ended the season with one of the country’s best freshmen in linebacker Harold Perkins, who led the team in sacks. Now, Kelly is adding to an already talent-rich roster, gaining two four-star players from the transfer portal.

quote:

If a prop existed for Kelly to win a national title in the next three years, the “Yes” option would not hold enough value. Alabama and Georgia will undergo offensive changes under center, while plenty of other SEC rosters are in search of stability.

LSU will have the most experienced and talent-rich roster heading into next season.

Price point is always key. A 12-1 price is the proper number for this national title contender. With LSU’s opening odds sitting at 20-1, my first play of the 2023 season is on the Kelly and Daniels-led Tigers.

Pick: LSU to Win 2023-24 National Championship (+2000)

Barstool has LSU +5000 (which is the best I have found) so if you want to jump on that seems like place to do it but if anyone sees it better lemme know and I'll jump on there too.

This smells of ND-lover set-up of super high expectations for BK, that if he falls short, they save face.

He jilted them, joined SEC and planted fear in them. This is their plan B.

Was just looking for the odds on draft kings. I'm gonna bet some, just not sure of how much and when.

+5000 not bad. $25 on that brings you back around $1250

I don’t think it’s out of the question, but with the current system, you aren’t guaranteed to have the same team from year to year. Kinda makes it an unknown as to what team you’d bet on, who you think will be on team versus reality of who stays/transfers/commits

Still ways to go. LB’s, special teams still need to be improved, add that with a consistent QB and RB’s. A shot at the NY6 is very obtainable but a NC is wishful thinking. 24-25 is the year and beyond to start betting.

IMHO, the key is having House back as DC. The way he is recruiting dbs tells me he's got something figured out.

A shot at the NY6

LSU was a blocked extra point away from this. Bad take.

Can’t say I’ve ever bet on an LSU Tiger game. The times I nearly did, I would have lost.

Its good odds, if they get by FSU. If they beat FSU and get the LB's right.....

I would put some early $$ on the TIGERS with really big odds for the 24 season IF Nuss was the starting qb for the majority of the season in 23. He needs a full season to fully mature and his receivers know him and he knows them. I would not put money on LSU until possibly 25 if LSU plays JD the majority of 23. I personally think we are better off long term with Nuss, and possibly even Howard, although I haven't seen enough of him yet to determine.

I did twice this year. Bet the spread against UAB (easy) and bet $125 on the Bama ML.

At that return, hell yes bet it! Cesear's has LSU as the fifth favorite to win the Natty next year:

Georgia - 15/4
Gumps - 11/2
Ohio St - 13/2
USC - 10/1
LSU & Michigan - 14/1
Clemson - 18/1

Daniels is 16/1 (which, I believe, is 5th or 6th fav) to win the Heisman.

Looking good for next year.

This is why Vegas has big shiny buildings up and down the strip. Even when the professional handicappers tell you the reasoning, people rush to the window to out smart them.
