It’s ok to hate it. But let’s be factual.

Basing this on one season in the NFL, when he went to a team that fired their whole coaching staff because the team sucked, and has missed his best offensive player for 11 games, is a stretch.

I would bet the opinion of NFL people is he did a good job this year. So yes, I think LSU's offense would've been quite a bit better this year if Brady was still around.

But the same argument doesn't apply to Coach E?

We'll have to agree to disagree on this.

I'm not so sure Brady does any better working with true freshmen and the lack of practice time the team had to prepare.

Do you think the opt-out situation would have looked the same if Brady were still around?

Brady would do better because Brady is a better coach. The guy is in his 30s and is an OC in the NFL and is rumored to be interviewing because his offensive scheme is so effective and efficient.

Please stop making E out to more than he is.. he is a great guy! Nobody here wants to bad mouth him. We want him around, just not running the offense.

They wouldn't be doing it if they thought O would be implicated. O is clean here and they are moving on. If there was a chance O was caught up in it, he would already be gone.

Honestly, I have no idea. Who's to say it would be any different. There are rumors that Coach O lost control of the locker room after the BLM protest/march. If so, I doubt Brady coaching on the team would have made a difference.

Brady could have made some difference with our offensive players. he is closer to their age than anyone.

E is an old school great guy, but I think Brady would have been able to at least save his half of the team.

Except it wasn't this year. Again, I'm sure he is a good coach and will have a bright future in the NFL.

But it seems like everybody shits on Coach E's abilities and disregard what he was able to do with a freshman laden and depleted roster. At the same time Brady is given an out due to his situation at Carolina.

All things being equal, Brady, although an excellent coach, is probably not the next Sean Payton and Coach E is probably a better coach than he is given credit for.

Yep, the mob believes what it wants to believe.

I welcome change though. Whoever it is will inherit a young group of guys who came together at the end of the year. The situation is bright for next season.

So I get some of the griping about some of the play calls but overall we had a very good offense. Do I need to post rankings? Was it last years? No absolutely not.

But if we had Brennan all year, chase, Marshall, arik then would have made a huge difference.

I still believe E is not the OC, but let's not try and say he wasn't effective this year, last year. 2016 and 2018 he was ok but struggled against top competition at times.

Personally I hope E becomes the special assistant to coach O. O has sucked since Munoz left at managing game situations, especially time outs, fricking miles level awful. He needs someone standing right next Timo him at all times that understands when to call a timeout and when not to, when to tell the Ayer to get down like boutte should have at the galling where he was hurt. When to tell players to take fall at the one if they break open etc. These fricking gaffes almost cost us Florida and ole miss.

But let's not try and act like E hasn't given us record breaking offenses over the 4 years he has been OC. Pretty much every LSU record on offense has been written with himnas OC, from Missouri in 16 to Saturday against OM.

because roster differences in NFL is nowhere near what they are in college.

even with freshmen and sophomores, LSU is still more talented than all but a couple teams on our schedule.

in the NFL, the drop off between your starters and your backups is HUGE.

Dude you can’t even compare college football to NFL. Ask Nick Saban how hard it is to win in the NFL. You said Brady’s offense looks pedestrian without a great roster. His roster is full of NFL starters. Unfortunately, the other teams defense is also full of NFL starters.

Brady is in year one of the most competitive football league on the planet. He will be fine.

Facts dude: Joe Burrow year 1 vs Joe Burrow year 2.

Every single piece was the same.. One guy was different. His name was Joe Brady.

Brady’s wide receiver drills were legendary. Everybody on the offense magically became NFL ready.

Just stop. We don’t want to bad mouth to E. A lot of us like him as a guy and coach. Just don’t want him running the offense.

Experience plays a huge part in the success of a unit. We didn't even have spring football as we should have.

The offense wasn't bad this season. It wasnt great, but its a top 15 passing offense in this weird season which is something LSU fans wanted desperately just two years ago.

E didn't do a poor job regardless of what the hive mind tells you. New blood isn't a bad idea and hopefully where we are headed though. Hopefully E stays on in some capacity.

I’m not sure why Nielsen would even leave the Saints. He’s got a damn good thing going to have to go recruit again.

Could be wrong.

Our 3rd down conversion and red zone scoring rankings disagree with your comment and that's how games are won.
