Name names.
Name possible replacements.

Max probably taught him

Majority of guys are currently under contract at other places and don’t necessarily want their names floating around that they’re shopping for a new gig. Bo was told he wasn’t being retained by Detroit is the only reason he’s being talked about.

He is young and coached at Samford - period.
Guess that makes him a Brady clone (who just happened to be mentored by and worked for Sean Payton and learned from Drew Brees), doesn't it?
Callaway has more skins on the wall as an OC than Brady did when he was hired at LSU and if you don’t see the work he did with Finley/Johnson you are crazy. Finley was thought of as a multi year project when he arrived on campus and he was ready to play in SEC games as a true freshman and showed flashes.

He also set records as an OC there, coached for Saban Was our QB coach this year and probably did the best job in LSU history when you consider the circumstances - Max and Brennan each had 400 yd games and TJ had a 300 yd game with a bunch of freshman/soph skill guys Max and TJ also werent some sure thing 5 star recruits either and he had them looking pretty good most of the time - better than any QB looked in the Miles era after Flynn
Also got our FR QB to do what no LSU QB has EVER done (and did in his first start). Throw 3 TD passes in Gainsville.
And for an encore that FR QB scored 5 TDs (2 on ground) in his second start. I'm guessing that's an LSU record.
Callaway may not be the OC, but he needs a promotion and to be kept on staff. Maybe PGC.

Won’t be shocked if the whole department is gutted after the title IX stuff comes to a head in February
So this is confusing. Why would LSU allow CEO to hire a dang near entire new coaching staff if this is still looming over their heads? If there is a chance of this then why not wait until it's figured out?

So if they are NFL guys(Nielsen) then we won’t have a DC until after the Super Bowl.
College guys (Freeman, Glasgow, etc) after their bowl game.
Any word on Calloway?.. I’d like to see him promoted to QB Coach/PGC.

This shouldn’t affect hiring decisions. Not a big deal.

E wasn't that bad in 2018 but he was terrible in 3rd down calling and red zone calling.
Brady helped us get in top 15 and top 5 for both.
This year... we are ranked 102 in 3rd down conversion and 68 in red zone scoring.
That's terrible.
Brady had a lot more to work with last year.
On similar note, where does Brady's NFL offense rank?

Bo Davis, would be a great hire, can recruit, but can actually coach football. He would be an asset to this staff, big if true.

Is McMahon one of the retirements?
This might be Coach Chris’ shot!

Not sure how many people realize this, but Russ was also a QB at Oconee County HS. That’s a big reason for him and Max being close
LSU loves some Oconee County HS QBs (Mett, Callaway, Johnson)

The Carolina offense ranks 20th in the league out of 32 teams. They average 356 yards per game along with 23 points per game.

Just watch Carloina play. Brady will be a head coach next year.

Nielsen + bo Davis seems repetitive
Nielsen has never called a defense either

well you can't just hold serve until feb. that doesn't work at all with finishing up a recruiting class and trying to get commits for the future. Also you wait to feb to make changes and you aren't getting the pick of the litter.
Its probably because LSU already has all the evidence it needs to see in title ix. we don't have any bombshell stuff. so now its all the dotting the I and crossing the Ts in the law suit stuff.

Not advocating for him, but this is wrong.
He’s been a DC twice
