Serious question about today’s game and Nuss

Should Nuss really be playing today? We will have a make shift offensive line that will not even be the line next season. We know we will have at least 2 new oline transfers starting. We have 3 new wideouts coming next season and a new TE from OU. Baylor is playing their full team and will bring the kitchen sink at Nuss. So why play him and risk an injury that could be detrimental to next season?

1. He needs the reps. He's not as experienced as some act.
2. It's football. You accept the risk of injury.
3. He's a leader and is showing his commitment to the program. The type of thing you want from your QB that will (hopefully) rub off on the rest of the team.

I have a feeling he will play most of the first half. By that point, if we're up big or vice versa, Hurley will play. Game reps for these depth guys with Nuss are important for their development and will help them battle for starting positions next year with the transfers.

People act like we’re throwing out walkons on the offensive line. They’re all highly recruited players on scholarship and some are definitely going to start next year.

I hope they play Nuss 50/50 with Hurley like the did with Daniels and Nuss a few years ago.

Because not playing would reflect abject weakness and dishonor LSU. Nut tf up.

Hurley was a 3 star. He has to prove to me that he is even good enough to set field at QB for LSU. For now I don't think he is.

That was a 63-7 blowout. I don't think it will be the same situation.

You know what, I think you are right. Also, why should Durham play? He is going to be the clear #1 back next year. Or Aaron Anderson? He is a #1 returning receiver. Whit Weeks and Trey'Dez Green should sit out too. We can't have Damian Ramos injured either, so he shouldn't play.

Yes, but I could see a scenario where the offense is a dysfunctional mess and Nuss is under constant duress, they give the game over to Hurley and just run, run, run.

Definitely a possibility if nuss gets hit hard 3-4 times they pull the plug. Especially if we get down 20 or more
