Serious Question - Think LSU can get in at 9-3?

One of our losses is a top 10 matchup on the road. What if we lose a close one to Bama or Texas then a close one at Tennessee.

Have four more SEC road games and Texas at home. They are looking at 8-4 season right now, at best.

If we lose a close one at Tenn, we probably are not getting in. Tenn will show that they aren't that good. We control our own path though, starting with A&M.

Unlikely, but a plausible scenario is if the SEC totally cannibalizes itself and you have the 3rd and 4th place teams in the league sitting at 3 losses

Probably not.
There will be a limit to sec teams that can make the playoffs. At 9-3 that likely means three other teams that. Eat us and have as good or better record.
It’s possible, as it really depends upon other teams other conferences and some luck. But it’s hard to see it.
Clemson ain’t going to help us.

Disagree. They may very well end at 8-4, but that isn’t best case scenario after playing maybe our toughest game of the season and losing in the final minutes by a TD. That’s dumb talk.

Everyone needs to stop wailing and man up! We lost one game to a very good (I know I throw up in my mouth writing this!) team, with a GREAT QB. I had us at 10-2 and that is very possible.
We beat the Collies this week and split the Gumps and Cows (All are at home). Do we have to improve play? Absolutely! Will we? Who Knows! I know all you sky is falling Chicken Littles will down vote this but all of our goals are still ahead of us.

Doubtful. 9-3 means most likely probably at least three other SEC teams ahead of you. The weak Big 10 schedules for Ohio State, Indiana, Penn State. Then Notre Dame. Just not enough spots.

fricking time for what? This is supposed to be a championship roster. You don’t rebuild anymore. Hell, there’s a good chance Clark and Longstreet both transfer out next season. You have to recruit your entire roster every season so for Kiffin, the expectation is to win big with every roster he has.
Ausberry was right about the expectations. LSU should be in the playoff EVERY season.

Longstreet will be gone but Clark will stay. He will be fighting with Pop Houston and the transfer QB for starting time.

I think 10-2 is realistic. Get to Texas with 1 loss and split Texas /Tennessee and you are in the playoffs

That means our 3 losses were to highly ranked opponents. Why should we deserve to be in the playoffs with teams that all beat us.
Ole Miss and Texas losses we may get in depending on what Bama & Tenn does. Bama has a brutal Oct then play LSU 11/7. So who knows.

Maybe. The SEC has been so dominant in the non conference this year that every other power league has a losing record vs other power conferences. That’s going to carry some weight.
