Exactly, the freaking kid arrived too early to get his housing and he traveled from Canada. WTF sis wrong with these people?

Another thread from secrant:
LINK
Posters speculating her work versus other school’s compliance officers. From what little I’ve read, seems Segar gets high praise from NCAA for her reporting of infractions that are uncovered and in exchange for her reporting to NCAA, sanctions are lessened and her work is praised. LSU would be better off with a compliance officer who worked with and for LSU to minimize egregious violations while sorting things out in-house instead of playing the role of NCAA gimp at the expense of LSU.
Seems like she’s a glorified traffic cop who is completely in bed with the law with no regard for the people who she tickets. Not fair for LSU if other compliance officers strike better balance or who primarily consider those in their community and don’t blindly adhere to the letter of the law.

It wasn't that he arrived too early, I believe it was he hadn't been cleared academically yet when fall practice had begun. So coach set him up with an apartment for a couple weeks while we waited on the green light from the NCAA clearing house. And he wasn't coming from Canada, but rather that's where he ended up after he was ruled ineligible by the NCAA. Hicks came from a JUCO in California.

I imagine it would be difficult to fire her (or anyone in compliance) while this Wade situation plays out, but once the dust settles the new AD needs to clean house.
And if need be, some of these people might be in line for a raise and transfer to the Biology department after signing a NDA.
It’s one reason I like former coaches as ADs... they know what our coaches need and don’t need from the likes of compliance.

Wait,wait, what?
She’s a Senior ASSOCIATE ASSISTANT AD?
Isn’t that position below the AD? She’s Joe Alleva’s underling? Hmmmm.
Seems like another person to bombard with emails.
I bring up the point, when writing, that Wayde Sim’s murder had a profound affect on this team, and for them to handle it better, they made the whole season as an homage to him - the 6th man. The suspension of Wade and the temporary “withholding” of Javonte for our final game of the season has spoiled it all for them, IMO.
It was Will who requested that LSU not nominate an ex player or coach, for their SEC “Basketball Legends” award at the SEC tournament. Which is customary,
Instead, Will pushed for Wayde Sims to be honored. Which he was, and his parents accepted the award to a standing ovation at the Bridgestone Arena. He understood.
It’s really hard for them (especially Skylar) to stay focused now the CWW has been suspended too.
I called all the BOS members callous, when I wrote. They probably don’t care, but it made me feel better.

Miriam saved LSU’s arse during the whole Hicks housing scandal back in the day.
Do you really want an Enron/Arthur Andersen relationship with compliance, where they both get burned down?

Compliance is supposed to work with the Athletic Department, not against it. How would it play out at Bama if a person in the compliance office started witch-hunting their football players? Making them provide proof that their Chargers were purchased legitimately?

Quite a stretch there. Hope you didn't pull something.

We lost multiple scholarships because Hicks slept on a GAs couch during an unofficial visit.
Seger freaked out. Launched an investigation and self-reported the violation.

One of Saban's first acts as HC was to re-assign Bo to the ticket office. JA brought him back in o the AD.

Seger hasn’t worked in Compliance in 20 years. Rumor is she is already gone. It seems she and Bohnsen would be at full retirement by now.

She is ALWAYS looking for another gold star for her wall (at anyone's expense). She is a miserable, self-aggrandizing hack.

She had her hands in everything. Miriam and Verge ran the athletic dept. they basically had Joe wrapped around their little fingers.
My friends in the dept tell me she is pigheaded sticking to her guns even though she was proven wrong
