I imagine BK wants the guy who gives his team the best chance of winning.

Just an assumption on my part.

Everything Kelly has said makes it genuinely seem that he does not have a favorite.

And bringing in Daniels says a whole hell of a lot on what his opinion of Brennan is.

Brennan is his safety blanket. After Nuss’s showing yesterday, even more so. Brennan offers you the least upside of any QB, but may have the highest floor. I always kind of thought he would still transfer this summer, and after yesterday feel like that is even more likely.

Least upside? The guy tore it up with a HORRIBLE OL and defense.

I just don’t see what a lot of you saw in Brennan. I thought he played really well. I keep seeing people saying he wasn’t making quick decisions. He made a perfect check down progressions on several plays for completions. He held the ball waiting on routes to develop. These are good things not negative.

I got news for ya Kelly wants what gets him closer to a NC or a win. If it’s Nuss then he will play.

I agree 100%. I don’t think he did a single thing to lose the starting job if he has it imo. I don’t understand the bandwagon fans for Nuss though this season. He has a ton of potential and showed it, but that’s what it is as of right now. Personally, I like Brennan because of his arm talent and decision making… all traits NFL GM’s and scouts appreciate.

When was that?

When he led the team to 5-27 on 3rd down in 2 losses to crap teams?

Yea lets just forget that we had a historically bad defense that year and the OL was Swiss Cheese.

Idk about you Lester, but 11 TD’s to 3 INT’s is impressive in 3 games.

The turnover margin in those games was like 6:2. The offense lost those games. They should be able to out score those teams with extra ball possessions.

Why didn’t Brennan play?

He supposedly wasn't "healed" from his "flip flop getting caught and him falling. (not truth)

Just glad he's back healthy to compete and give us depth needed at qb

What were the points per turnover during that span?
I know against mizzou they scored every time there was a turnover. Brennan did not lose those games, a historically bad defense did

Kelly didn't come here to do anything but win a national championship. He's not interested in having good records and playing in NYD bowl games.

Every LSU NC team had a QB that made necessary plays with his feet in every critical game. Mauck, Flynn, and Burrow

Brennan is not getting those yards.

Daniels has shown he can, but can he physically hold up, and even more importantly, can he know when to do it or make the throw

I think Nuss is a good mix of run and pass, but he has the tendency to force the deep ball.

LSU was 0-10 on 3rd downs in that game, and they punted 5 times. SO whether they scored on the turnovers or not, they failed to do so enough on the other possessions.

They also left the win at Missouri's goalline on the last possession with Brennan under center. Brennan aint it

we could have beaten Arky if Johnson were the QB that day

No, just no. Johnson had been plain arse all season long against any team with a pulse. Even against the weak sisters like McNeese he struggled. He actually threw a no-look pass in a game!

Nuss added life to a moribund offense last year and gave us a chance. I don't know why he threw that game-ending INT (on 1st down!), but that was the only thing anyone remembers about Nuss from last year.

Empty stats and a failure to get things done in crunch time. Not what you want in your QB.

Right, people are acting like Missouri was the 85' Bears. LSU should have ran up and down the field on them. There were a few big plays but hardly any consistency. Same with Miss St.
