If I was coaching against Laird I'd move the centerfielder into the infield to play in between the first and second baseman, and play the left fielder in shallow left and it would take away all of his options.

this team is HORRIBLE with the bat! can't BUNT, can't hit and run, cannot come up with timely hits or extra base hits

I can understand not hitting Stanek last night. He's legit. But this pitcher? I guess that's what makes baseball so unpredictable.
