For someone so fast Deichman never got down the line. KRob used to be like that. He'd get gunned down at first when you knew he'd be safe.

Of course, Tyler Hanover missed out on dozens of sure fire infield singles during his time.

I really don't get that except maybe just a lapse.. he figured he needed to try to slide and wasn't thinking? He was only half way to 2nd.. why dive down and give him a clear lane to throw on a somewhat close play at first.. If they hit you on the throw.. great. you are use to it.
