I'd love for someone to explain what the "standards" are again, because they seem to change week-to-week, game-to-game, regardless of what the rulebook states.

Sounds like he’s experiencing what we have been seeing during the Saban years at Alabama.

REC doing their work.

That red jersey doing the hitting decided it.

This is why it will happen again and again, players will get hurt, and the whole idea of "player safety" is a farce. It's about money and matchups and protecting whatever the SEC office wants to happen.

At some point, you have to not let this affect your life or get to you.

You have to beat Alabama by multiple touchdowns or hope they implode to actually win the game.

Then they should scrap the targeting rule entirely if what that thug POS did to Daniels is considered less of a penalty than the baby shove by Devin White v. MooU that cost him half a game.

SEC front office can lick my unwiped arse.

He won’t be back. His mo is to shite on LSU, not provide facts, then wait for the next negative opportunity to post.

That is interesting as I was looking a some link I found regarding the Turner hit on Daniels. Interestingly enough it was an alternate film angle from the EZ behind JD from Bama's video cameras and it was published by the Tuscaloosa News.

Even they said it looked pretty bad. At the moment of impact Turner's helmet center stripe aligned with Daniels' stripe and then his head snapped straight back. Also the helmets were similar height aspect so the BS that he hit him in the chest was just that... BS.

His response:

Fine.

My defensive players will do that to every conference QB from this point forward. Thanks.

BK should ask which criteria were missing and why.

That was my thought also back when it happened and I knew the Rant was going to bevfull of Bammers saying it was textbook form... explain to me via the rule how he did not meet any of the criteria.

Oh ok, so now that everyone has shown them up about it being targeting, they're too proud to admit they blew the call

I said the same thing.

If this doesn’t

meet targeting standards
I’d like for the SEC to line up side by side this hit and the Devin White “targeting” call (that was reviewed and “confirmed”) and explain the difference between the two. One is not like the other.

Player safety

So Jaden didn't get the right kind of concussion to warrant targeting? I thought concussions was what they were trying to prevent. Stupid me....

Hypothetical question. Assume a defensive player is penalized for ruffing the quarterback. In the process of pushing the defenseless quarterback backwards to ground and falling on him the defensive player jams his helmet into the quarterback’s chin so hard that he could have broken the quarterback’s chin. The strike with the helmet to the qb’s head was so hard it caused the qb to suffer a concussion. The ref saw enough to call ruffing the passer. The defensive player had to purposefully hold his head in a way to strike the qb with his helmet. He could have simply held his head away from the qb. What do you think the odds of a targeting call.
