THE SEC SAYS LSU IS DEFYING ITS “PROFESSIONALISM RULES.” FINE. WHICH SPECIFIC RULE DID LSU VIOLATE

They say LSU is threatening to violate them in basketball.

Meanwhile, Ole Miss and Mizzou are doing just that.

I don’t understand why the Federal judge hasn’t looked at the SEC and said, “You have a judgment against you in a state court and are facing accusations of contempt. Go resolve that issue and then come back here.”

Threatening to violate doesnt mean shite.

The basketball one might be easier to shove in the SEC's face than football. At least with basketball there are multiple examples of players in the SEC that are either on TRO's or have signed professional contracts, no different than LSU's players. They even have the Bediako example with precedent already set.

Presenting this in front of a judge while also breaking no actual rules should be a slam dunk.

Again, how does this affect the SEC’s case here:

She has not really had anything to rule on yet. They pulled down the injunction hearing.

This motion will be her first chance to engage.

Anyway, that's my guess.

I think a longer tenured judge would have pulled everybody into chambers and twisted some arms. I have damn near had mine broken at one time or another. But she may take the valid choice of leaving them alone to work it out.

This. I think some of this is blustering as the SEC tries to figure out if it has any more legal grounds than the NCAA. I’m very skeptical that they do.

I can see her saying to the SEC, “You really don’t want me to rule on this.”

I’m floored by the number of folks on the SEC Rant who think the SEC is akin to the Federal government somehow and can just ignore court rulings.

Meanwhile Ole Miss has two players on the current roster. It’s insanity.

feel free to comment on the merits.

If Pedro were to honestly address the merits of someone's analysis the anger juice which keeps him alive would flow backwards through his veins causing instant death.
